She is taking all the risk but I can assure you she is not doing all the work.

He's really had to push himself to succeed with the lifts and I feel he deserves great credit for what he has achieved.

I do agree that choreographically they did him no favours by including the hydroglide type moves as he wasn't able to do them as well as Donal did who had a natural ability for them but they are hard and he did them, so I'm not holding the choreoghraphy of that bit against him.

For someone without benefit of dance training or live performance experience I think he is doing great and comes over really well.”

I quite like Kieron but I do not enjoy watching him because he isn't a natural dancer and it shows in his performance. He can only perform certain types of programs, usually funny ones and that limits him imo. He has to push himself with the jumps, lifts etc because he just does not have the dancing. Same for Gary really, only I think Gary is more technical than Kieron anyway.
I know this gives Hayley an advantage but this is the same for anything.
If Kieron or Gary win, I will not mind at all but I will always think that Hayley is the best all round and why I will vote for her in the final, even though I have never voted before on DOI.

That's fair enough and I can totally see why people want to vote for the best dancer but I like to see 'added value' in these type of programmes and for me well Hayley could already dance really well and was used to live performances in musicals which include lots of dancing and is used to being directed choreographically (a skill in itself) so it was much easier for her to transfer her skills to the ice and use them there than for someone who had to learn to dance and project for live performance, as well as to skate.

I think it's a shame they did not give Hayley more variety in her dance steps too as we did get an awful lot of the toepick stuff which we saw in week one and in many weeks since.

As a skater I guess I like to watch the feet a lot more and pick out what they are doing and am therefore impressed by Gary's speed over the ice while performing difficult skating moves and impressed by Kieron's willingness to attack a performance with gusto and take it to the edge which makes it more exciting for me than Hayley's performances which can be beautiful but she seems to play it rather safe and for me that makes them unexciting.

Still it wouldn't be much point in the competition if we all liked the same things and good luck to all next week.

I'm probably in the middle. I don't normally enjoy watching the dancers doing what they do best (e.g. dancing), and I'm not technical enough to look at the skating.

Maybe that's why I like Kieron (although I enjoy Hayley and Gary as well - I mean their performances). My worst example of a dancer on the show was Bonnie, she irritated me a lot. I think 2 years ago I made the mistake and associated Suzanne with the same things (I will go back and rewatch her performances).

What I'm trying to say is the more a contestant with a dance background seems to be dancing, the less I enjoy their performance (I'm not necessarily referring to Hayley). The same applies for someone who is supposed to be really technical, but doesn't improve in dancing performance. However, if someone with no dance background improves in both skating and dancing, throws themselves into it (like Donal last year) and Kieron this year, the more I enjoy their performance even if it isn't dance or skating perfect. If that makes sense.

I also wish three of them all the best. I have no real agenda, if anyone really pulls it out of the bag,... I'm happy if they win.

Makes perfect sense to me and was also one reason I enjoyed watching Donal last year so much more than Ray despite Ray's phenomenal performances. To be fair to Ray though in retrospect the level of skating he produced was pretty amazing.

Just had a thought that might make Gary fans happy. I am sure Jason Gardiner would be bored rigid by the compulsory dances I am watching on Worlds right now but they are incredibly difficult despite not looking it, so boring Jason doesn't mean you are bad! Not that Gary can skate that well but he is the best skater on DOI this year.

But still want Kieron and Brianne to win! Imagine the reaction given how excited they were getting to the final (they get my prize for best reaction ever!)

It was the contrast between Kieron's reaction and Brianne's that was hilarious. Kieron just looked totally flabbergasted, while Brianne seemed more delighted to get to the semis than even any of the celebs ever had! You could still hear her even after Kieron skated off with her clung to him! Very amusing moment!

I think Keiron might get rooted to the spot if he wins.

I've really enjoyed the compulsory dances this year....
Thing is though, brilliant as Virtue and Moir clearly are, I don't especially enjoy them. I find them a little bit over sickly sweet in style. I much prefer Davis and White, and even the Italians. I guess that sums up why some people prefer Hayley to Kieron, or Kieron to Gary etc, they all have very different styles, and whilst one may be better than the others in some respects, preferred style does come into how much you enjoy a performance.

If this was a real competition, I suspect Kieron would have no chance, but if it was an Ice show, he's the one I would probably enjoy most. I guess it depends how you see DoI affects who you want to win - is it a competition or a show? I suspect a little of each.

As for Kieron, he has no charisma and the way that he dragged his partner around the ice last night like a sack of spuds he was very lucky not to have been in the skate off. Like Robin Cousins said on "this morning" today, it should have been Kieran and Daniella in the skate off with Daniella staying! Kieran is very lucky to still be there and as for people slating Hayley and all the rubbish in the People on Sunday trying to blacken Hayleys name just because she is the favourite to win, it is a total disgrace!”

I totally agree with that. I am especially excited over Daniella but I thought she was far better then Keiron and his last skate was pathetic IMHO.

I was hoping for Gary, Hayley and Daniella for the finals to make it more interesting.
