Well that is your opinion but considering the top judge on the panel also said that she skated as well as any professional on the night that she got all 6s considering that she learnt the whole thing within the week I think that I will take the top judges opinion over yours thank you!

I personally, love Hayley and think that she has done brilliant without getting too big headed. She has great chemistry with Dan and they thoroughly deserve to win! Best skater, best dancer and best presentation!

Haha, reading all the Hayley fans telling us she's so utterly outstanding that she's actually better than the pros () just makes me want modest, unassuming, sweet little Kieron to win this thing even more!

No, not better than the pros! I have actually also been a fan of both Daniella and Gary and also liked Danny. Danny was just unlucky last week when he dropped his hat otherwise smug Kieron would have been gone last week. As far as I am concerned Kieron has no charisma and does nothing for me at all! As for him being unassuming and sweet, dont make me laugh!

But as for the other poster respecting Nicky's views thats quite funny! Nicky has been way off the mark some weeks, just like he was this week with the others being either .5 or even a whole point in difference with his voting! Both Karen and Jason have had words with him with how different he has marked the likes of Gary and Hayley!

I am sorry but this is an insult to the wonderful pros. Do you really think she is as good a skater as the likes of Mel; Maria; Frankie; Alex; Brianne etc.

I dont think they are. What they are saying and that is clear beyond any doubt is she is very significantly beter then Gary & Kieron. Other then Hayley its been a very weeak line up this year. In previous years Gary & Kireon would not have made it to the final. They are no where near good enough. Gary is particularly weak at least Kireon pushes himself

I don't think (when Hayley is given a good song) there has been anyone in the show this series that could out do her. (I mean contestants of course she isn't up to professional standard, I'm sure even she'd admit that)
I think if he'd been more of a performer from the start Gary (who has competent skating skills) could have grown to be the contender. But sadly it almost looks like he is going through the motions and doesn't feel his routines.

I feel sorry for Hayley but if I remember correctly there were a number of Ray Quinn haters out there too because he was the best and it turned into a one horse race and he was deemed of being 'cocky and arrogant'.
I think it is less a one horse race this year as I don't think Hayley is quite as good as Ray, but I think Hayley is great and does get ripped to shreads on some other posts for ridiculous things (like her smile, her expressions, her 'cockiness' etc etc) .

I think the right 3 for this series got through to the final, Danniella was a great performer especially props week, but I don't think her skating ability was upto Hayley, Kieron and Gary's........ although I wish Gary (as an actor) would take a leaf out of Danniella's chair week and really get into Character. I think he'd improve greatly if he really sold his routine. He does look very lacklustre as though he's thinking ............one step to the left ...........now turn etc...... and not about the emotion of the piece.

I dont agree that Garys skating is stong. Its adequate but his skating is not better than the others. Last night his solo was not good . It was a very simple and easy solo compared to the others but even so he was wobbling and almost fell once.

But I think personally that is because he is over-thinking it, instead of having confidence in his skating and letting that bit do for itself while he concentrates on getting into the routine and let go a little, it's like he is extremely self-conscious that the performance side is going to make him look like a fool.
I have thought from the beginning (especially in his training VT's) he looks very smooth and effortless on the ice when he is just skating......ok he falls over while practising lifts and jumps and things like they all do but his basic skating skills look smooth.

We Brits tend to like our constestants to be 'modest and unassuming' as opposed to 'cocky and arrogant' don't we?

It's as though we expect our celebrities (usually people who need to be at the cocky, arrogant and competitive end of the spectrum to survive in their chosen profession) to reach a certain level of skill but not go over the line into thinking they may actually have a talent or even win the competition they entered.

Hayley SHOULD win it - but I don't think its a certainty as someone said in another thread, she loses the advantage of the judges scores in the final. It doesn't matter if she gets 60/60 in her routines next week - the result is down to the public vote!

And therein lies her problem......

Hayley is a Marmite character - she is loved or hated seemingly in pretty much equal measures. Unlike other contestants who have been able to pick up votes from eliminated couples, I think Hayley's votes have remained pretty constant through the series - she has a big enough fan base to keep her out of the skate off when combined with the judges scores - but left to the public vote alone I don't think she has it totally in the bag next week.

I don't think Gary is really any competition for her - and its pretty certain that he will be first out next week as he is the most boring skater to watch - no matter how competent he is.

Its between Hayley and Kieron - and unlike her - its pretty obvious that his support has been increasing all the way through the series. In the polls on many forums (not just on here) Kieron is topping the favourite polls by a considerable margin from Hayley (Gary is bottom of all the favourite polls and tops the least favourite ones even when Danniella was still in). Given the perversity of the voting public in these sort of shows I can see Kieron edging it next week.

Too much gushing from the judges for Hayley, coupled with perceived undermarking of Kieron and the very obvious "journey" Kieron has had could get him the votes. Kieron wasn't good at the beginning but he is the one of the 3 finalists who has progressed the most. Hayley was good from the first week, particularly on the performance side of things, Gary was the most solid skater from the beginning but Kieron has progressed from Bambi to competent - and unlike Gary - he can deliver a performance almost as well as Hayley can!

Cant get that excited about the Final next weekend as we all know who is going to win. A bit like last year with Ray!! Daniella was a weak skater and it showed especially when she skated alone. Hayley has been the best since the first week so how they are going to generate excitement regarding the Final is beyond me. We have all seen other celebs do the flying so nothing new there.

Oh shock, horror. Don't you know that Coleen is a SIZE 10!!! AND has three exercise and diet DVDs on the market!!! The fact that she appears bigger each week on Loose Women and The Friday DoI Show with Ben, is just a technical problem!!!

With all due respect .... a couple hundred votes on DS hardly affects the public vote!

Kieron and Danny were both ahead of Gary in the 'DS Vote' the previous week and still ended up in the skate-off.

So why was he in the skate off last week? How come Gary who was bottom of the leader board last week scored higher than Keiron with the public vote? Not exactly building support every week is he?

I think this year the support changes every week based on the performance and the position of the leader board (more than in any other year). I think for this very reason we did not have a Coleen in the semi-final. The public and judges generally seem to get it right. The remaining 4 contestants were the best IMO, and to a certain degree it was difficult to predict who would pull it out of the bag on the night.

I think the same will happen next week. Depending on the performance, and depending on the judges' comments (e.g. I thought Gary would be through based on Jason's unneccessary bashing) Kieron or Hayley might win it. I'm not so sure about Gary, the flying routine won't do him any favours at all and he doesn't have a really wow wow performance either.

Its not just the DS polls - its polls on various other sites as well (as I said in my post).

Kieron has been creeping up the rankings on all of them all the way through the series.

The skate off last week? Well he was second from bottom with the judges so even had he topped the public vote (and yes I KNOW he didn't as Gary hopped over him to avoid the SO so had to have got a higher public vote), he was a major contender for the skate off. He was clearly 1st or 2nd with the public last night to avoid the SO with Danniella.

I stand by my post where I said that Hayley SHOULD win - but the result will be closer than the avid Hayley fans think. Depending on what the panel say on the night and whether the voting public perceive the men as being unfairly marked down, Kieron may well pick up enough votes to edge it. His slight frame will help him in the flying (which won't do Gary any favours) and he can pull of a more WOW! performance than Gary can on the ice.

Lots of people vote in the final who don't normally bother in the early stages (and going on past reality shows - they quite often seem to go for the underdog rather than the favourite) and its those that Hayley needs to win over. If she hasn't inspired them to vote for her so far, she has an uphill battle to get them onside now.

FWIW - I'm not one of those who think that Danniella was the main competition - I liked her but its clear that she didn't have the public support, and her choreography in recent weeks has been lacklustre and unchallenging to what she had been given in the early weeks. She was the weakest skater last night and deserved to go over Gary.

I'm looking forward to seeing the actual results of the public vote when it is released next week.

I'd love you to explain how Gary's solo was simple. He actually had some very difficult stuff in there that required mastery of edges and turns and he also did a spiral. Hayley did her spin - Ok, so Gary did one later in his routine he also did a number of mohawk turns in synch with Maria but not touching - in synchro the no hold hold is the hardest. Hayley's spiral was slightly better than Garys on the night in style but much slower as was all her skating. Gary did an inside 3 - haven't seen any of those from Hayley.

Hayley's main superiority is in the dance aspect - well duh she is a trained dancer who has been in musicals and acted live on stage so is used to projectign to a live audience and dancing very well.

Gary also did a jump on the way to his solo spot so did extra.

And to Darcy princess. Hayley did Jai Ho really well because it was largely a dance number . You need no skating skills to do all that on the spot arm choreography. Yes she did it excellently but her skating is way off the pros level. The 6.0 was doing what she was given to do as well as it could be done but it did not contain a lot of difficult skating. It had a lot of toepick stuff which she showed us she could do in week one.

Why Robin marked out of line and gave her a 6.0 last night I don't know as it was not one of Hayley's best performances.

I suspect Hayley may win but it won't be because she is the best skater this year. I doubt Gary can up his performance game enough but in skating skills he deserves his place.

Kieron FTW! for best progress and entertainment value.

I have supported Hayley since day 1 - but to compare her favourably to the pros is laughable - just as it should be. They have been honing their skills for years - not mere months.

I do however think her solo spot was as good as any last night and, for me, probably the best of the four - though looking back none were as strong as Ray (obviously,) Suzanne or Chris F. I honestly can't remember Kyran's.

But surely they are given routines which reflect, and challenge, their skating ability?

They wouldn't have asked Ray to skate on, glide around a bit, stand still etc - he was able to do so much more than that. The solo spot is about showing off what they can do on their own; how much they have learned.
If they don't do very much, maybe it shows that they can't do very much.

I can't see T&D identifying someone as a good, natural skater but developing such a personal dislike for them that they give only bad routines to try to get rid of them. They'd have no reason to do so - their job is to choreograph routines for the celebs, including the reqired element, and showing off their dancing/skating abilities and the progress they've made. They presumably get paid the same whichever person goes through, and would have no particular axe to grind.

Hayley and Dan having been adding moves/lifts into their routines; Sharron Davies even ditched her music because it wasunsuitable for what she could do with her injuries. Daniella could have made changes too, if she felt that what she was given was beneath her.


Why would they want, or need, to sabotage her? She seems to have done that all by herself.

You're not telling me Daniella really wanted to do something in her solo spot but was forcibly prevented, or felt unable to speak up and ask for a more challenging routine?

If she was actually, technically brilliant, the place to have showed it off would have been her solo skate. But she didn't.
