I thought there was clear blue water between Kieron and Hayley and the other two this week. The public got it right with their voting.

I thought the leaderboard order had it right. I love Keiron, but I agreed with Jason, his solo looked ugly and 10 seconds after Brianne joined him, I was shouting at the tv "We get it, he can lift." Awful routine.

Gary had me smiling for the first time this series. Perhaps if we gave him another 12 weeks he may actually perform with conviction.

Daniella was too nervous to enjoy. If she had performed in the main show the way she did in the SO, her exit may have been unfair. But she didnt.

Hayley, as usual, gave a poised performance. She seemed to fall out of her spin, but improvised the stumble to make it seem intentional. I can't see her being beat.

I agree as well !..apart from the scores (which would the same as mine exactly) I said much the same in another thread.
Just to add, I also think Hayley is a certainty..I just wish they had pushed her a bit harder, she has been performing well within her comfort zone for weeks. Last year we had Ray Quinn, he could have "coasted through" from week 1..instead he was pushed right to the limit, trying stuff that was not necessary to win the competition. Perhaps that's unfair, Ray was a one-off with regards to skating ability.

Even my Dh who is not normally a DOI watcher said "I thought he was better than that!" when he saw Kieron's score

Hayley and Kieron 5.5 - Hayley was a little smoother in the skating but Kieron was more interesting
Gary 5.0 - well executed, but still lacking a little wow
Danniella 4.5 - well executed, bit slightly wobbly and didn't look (to my untrained eye) quite as complex as the others.

OMG you are comparing Daniella to Suzanne, Daniella is not in the same league as Suzanne.

Hayley 5.5 - still the best at presentation but solo skate was slow and tentative
Daniella - 4.5 - not a great solo skate but bags of personality once again
Kieron - 4.5 - solo skate was better than Daniella but no spark in performance this week.

Ok, maybe more in the choreography than the skating then!

Kieron's solo was awful last night and his hydroglides were so bad it was painful to watch - even Donal did far better hydroglides than he did - just my opinion btw.

Agreed although I don't think it was as good skating but I loved the performance which Danniella delivers.

Haley is without doubt the best performer and Gary is the best skater. If you could combine their talents you would get the pefect skater.

Would of been a travisty if he went. On the Dance off he blew Daniella off the planet with the solo skate. It really showed Daniella can only skate when she is being pulled around. Her solo skating is that so slow.

Its not all about performance after all. I do like to watch people that can actualy skate without having to be pulled around and made to look good.

Why would you do that? It's not all about performance. Only partially.

Because really whats the point in having two people skating around the ice with no performing skills? I can score on performance and you can score on skating or whatever, doesn't bother me?
