Is anyone else watching This Morning today? According to Robin who is on today (where's Jason?) he said that Gary is head and shoulders ahead of the others with his basic skating skills and he thought Kieron would have been in the skate-off with Daniella rather than Gary.

They also replayed the bit where Gary was lying on the ice... and Robin, Ray Quinn, Phil and Holly said it was clear that the skating had already finished and that Gary and Maria had been on one knee before the pair of them 'fell' over.

Daniella has also just said that for her, Gary is technically the best skater in the show.

Danniella also said that Gary needs to bring out his acting skills more. The woman speaks truth.

She is the most humble celebrity to ever grace the ice.

Robin also said Kieron should have been in the skate-off and gone....

DOI seems to have brought out a really nice side to Danniella and I think she was genuinely surprised to be in the semi-final.... and I expect Kieron and Gary were just as surprised and they all seem to be a really nice group of people.

I wonder where Jason is today because he's usually on This Morning on a Monday.... maybe he is still peeved that Gary is still there!!!

Wasn't it that he thought he would have been?

I don't think Gary Lucy has acting skills. I think that's the problem...

Robin seemed really weird to me - not quite sure what was up with him.

This i think is Gary's biggest problem and if he could overcome this on final night he would lose the "boring" label.

I think he really needs to just let go and think what the hell and give it 100%. I think he is just self conscience (sp?) and a little worried he will be ridiculed mostly by jason so that holds him back.

Having said all that, i would prefer it if he didnt excel on sunday night as i want Kieron to do bolereo...lol

Maybe because he's going into the West End and will be Teen Angel in Grease for 12 weeks!!!! He said he's nervous but excited about it and rehearsals are this week and he starts performing next week!

Gary is a very good actor - as his work on Hollyoaks and The Bill have shown ... however ... he still hasn't quite broken out of his shell and is still a bit self-conscious when skating.

But Kieron imo was much better in the solo spot than Daniella, who was given very little to do in her solo spot. Plus i think everyone was expecting something good from her this week after she "sold" the routine last week. Sadly this week she did a little dancing, a couple of skate rounds and then her partner sweep her around with lifts and routine was over.

I think after last week sitting on a chair for most of the routine the public weren't going to vote for her if she didnt show a lot of skating (however T&D didn't giver her routine that allowed that..maybe they thought she couldn't do it ? ? ?)

In terms of judging skating skills, yes he does know what he is talking about, but I don't always agree with him in terms of what makes for a "wow" performance. As a non-skating expert, I find Kieron as an overall package more entertaining to watch.

Maybe he was great on the Bill, I don't know. But he was craptastic on Hollyoaks - very much of the 'take your top off and hope no-one notices how rubbish you are' school of acting... So I can't say I'm shocked to see him struggling with the whole 'acting' concept on the ice.

To be fair he did portray Luke's rape very well but i agree before that he was a top off actor Maybe that's what he should do in the final..it worked for danny...

He won at least one award for that. I agree he was very good in what was a difficult storyline. But what's required in DOI, when you're Gary Lucy (or whoever) rather than a fictional character, is entirely different from that.

From the crap actors, yes.

Fortunately there a few good actors who do slip into Hollyoaks once in a while. You can usually tell because they take their clothes off much less frequently than the others ... And actually have to display 'emotions', 'feelings' and 'chemistry' occasionally.
