I got a message from orange, not for free voting but telling me I could actually vote via the phonelines this year. Premium rate numbers are usually barred on Orange PAYG. Are you sure this wasn't what she meant?

Why are Orange getting these type of offers (free or not free) for Big Brother 2004?

Is talktalk apart of Orange or something?

Not wishing to cast doubt on the integrity of Mrs Bananaman, but this must surely be the least likely pre-show rumour in the history of unlikely daft rumours?

If voting were free on Orange, then (a) Orange wouldn't make any money out of it, (b) Endemol wouldn't make any money out of it, (c) other Orange subscribers (like me!) would have heard about it other than just Mrs Banana, and (d) the winner would so obviously be chosen by mass-voting Orange subscribers that other premium-price-paying consumers would be put off bothering.

Its not like her to get something like this wrong and she did vote by text last year for the show.

She saved the text for me to look at so i will post it word for word tomorrow.

I've never ever voted and I'm on Orange.

If this deal transpires to be true... what real impact could I have this year..?

Not too sure about the free voting, but with O2 not sponsoring this years BB, then maybe it could be Orange that is taking their place? Why else would Orange want to tell all their PAYG customers that they can now vote it they wanted to?

The Text message says that from 24th May you will have access to '09' premium number that cost 50p and 90p per min or per message. In the text it does say to allow voting on Big Brother but on the website it doesn't mention Big Brother.

More details look here http://www.orange.co.uk/09

Thinking about it, what's the point in text and internet voting. If you can do either of these, you can phone, and it would make the TV announcement of voting details much quicker. Is that why they close these lines before the Friday show?

I would take a guess that Orange have taken over the Mobile Phone voting/sms updates side of things this year.

It's The Carphone Warehouse, as reported in this thread.

Orange PAYG will have access to the premium numbers that allow you to vote. That is what the sms I got said
