I hope they do have it this year!

Its the only chance for us to get rid of the boring ones! Unless the boring ones look fit to the 13 year olds in which in that case we are all doomed for a summer of watching boring logs again

Unless you are watching the Euro 2004...........

If the 13 year olds all vote for the Spencer, Alex or Brian you could end up with one model or comic and the ones who were left after the few other votes were counted? Could be just as random.

Nooooooooooo!!!!

Voting to evict worked up until last year, so no reason why it shouldn't be kept! Big Brother is the only show where you vote OUT contestants, and if unlike last year, housemates have "VOTE ME OUT" qualities, it works brilliantly.

Those that claims it stops the quiet housemates being voted out - remember they are not nominated in the first place, and when they are, they are generally evicted!

So maybe it's the nominations process that needs to have "positive voting". However, BB Australia tried this last year and it only lasted a week.

I agree with Big Brekkie...Positive voting will only work if they change or get rid of the nomination process...and that's half the fun of BB...

Maybe they could let the public have an independent vote mid season and that way we could get rid of at least one boring housemate...

It takes away from the fear of being voted out though. The celebs on I'm A Celebrity don't care too much if they're not as popular as the other person, but the idea of a possible confirmation that people really don't like you is wonderfully sick, and causes far more interesting things to happen imo.

Positive voting would only work if there's more than 2 people up anyway.

Why have positive voting?

OK, we might not like entertaining ones leaving, but if the boring ones go out first - where will the surprise element be? And why will people bother voting for their favourite when they know that the rest of the country will be doing that?
