It's actually really nice and refreshing. We only have one week left, and I will be forumless again.”

I was thinking that too. I think everyone's just happy their favourite made the final.

For now. I'm sure the atmosphere will be a little different on Sunday.

I think Hayley's made a mistake picking the Jai Ho routine again. Big routines like that almost always suffer in comparison to the first time they were done, and may show more people that it was more style over substance.

Oh, the knifes will be out (and I'm just talking about Hammy when his favourite doesn't win it). The judges will have been biased, the voting public stupid, and each contestant that wasn't our (as in one's) favourite will have delivered a cr*p performance. Meanwhile without doubt our favourites will have provided the performance of the night (even if they fell over 3 times during the performance, and skated the whole thing backwards and drunk). Did I forget something?

I think it's just that everyone's directing their annoyance at Jason for now. That's one thing we can all actually agree on!

Shhhhh! I wasn't going to say that out loud!!!

Part of the reason it was so stunning the first time was that we didn't know what to expect and were just blown away by it... second time out we have seen it before and will be concentrating more on it.

Everyone will be watching to see if Kieron and Gary can improve on theri old routines (avoid stumbles, inject some pizazz etc), but how can Hayley improve on what was regarded as perfection... Endless love might have been a better choice in that respect

I'm sure Hayley will find some way on improving 'Jai Ho' - she's just utterly amazing...and she certainly deserves credit for putting on some truly amazing performances this year. Good on her x

I hope so....that would be something to see.
I was a bit worried about her spin last week though, she travelled across the ice a bit and it didn't look quite so good. Hope she sorts that out for Sunday.

Yep, the spin was messy last week.

I just hope they try and change the Jai Ho routine a bit to keep it fresh. But I'm sure either way, it's likely to score 30 again.

I sometimes get annoyed with the way the skaters just choose their highest scoring routines again for the final too. Like with Ray choosing the one that got him straight sixes (I forget the name of it! ), which IMO was a less memorable routine than Rock Around The Clock which came the week after. RATC got 29.5 so it would've been great to push for a 30 for it in the final. Jason was just being pernickety giving him a 5.5 for it when he originally did it. Similarly I didn't really like Jessica choosing Mercy. It scored her highly but it also landed her in the skate off and Venus was a better routine where she nailed the spin and brought out her personality. I think with the finals you ought to do the routine that best sums you up as well as one to push for a perfect score for.

As for Jai Ho it was an inevitable choice but I do think there is danger of it being underwhelming the second time. The spin could be off and that choreography is so precise that Ill be very impressed with her is she gets it bang on again. She probably will though.

Agree with this. Ray's 80s routine was technically good but just didn't wow me - Rock around the Clock was more exciting. I think Jess made the wrong choice in skating Mercy in the final (and on tour too) & I think she would have been better skating to Venus - I think it probably cost her the chance to skate bolero, especially as Donal showed a big improvement when he skated to Everybody Hurts.

Ok - So far we have:

Favorite Routines:

Hayley - Jai Ho
Kieron - Punk rock one (really can't remember the name of it...the crazy one)
Gary - What about Now

Also, Hayley has commented on Twitter that she is skating to one of her and Dan's favorites - an Eva Cassidy song.

My guess is Over The Rainbow (it fits in to a 'flying' theme....Fields of Gold doesn't really)

Will Hayley have to do the quadruple spin again then? .. or do you think she'll leave it out (or go for something else in it's place) as it was only a required element for that particular week .. bit risky if she does decide to keep it in.

I think she won't replace it with something easier, or only with a three rotation spin. I think she will probably push herself to do it again.

Kyran didn't chose his highest scoring with 'Chasing Cars' but he did score less for it in the final. Suzanne chose her highest scoring with 'Music' but she had room for improvement and obviously the changed to add the headbanger with a twist worked so well.

I think Jai Ho totally deserved it's 30, but doing it again is risky.

Yes, yippie, I'm really looking forward to that. I assume the knifes (or swords) between the two of us will be out as well. Have you emailed him, or facebooked him yet?

I don't think it's that risky really, at least in terms of pleasing the judges. Short of her making a mistake at some point, I don't see it not getting a 30.

Whether it will go down as well with the public second time around is maybe more of a moot point - the impact might well be a little reduced, inevitably.

Donal did his Everybody Hurts routine in the final and it improved so much from the first time and also he wanted to do his prop routine but wasn't allowed to - but I'd loved to have seen that again and score better scores for that.

You took my pav, prepare to ....... Anyway, I think he is probably busy coming back for the final and training with Sharron. He might not even try to access his Internet when he is over here. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you (regardless of our great competition). You are definitely braver than me.

And it is this hardy spirit that shall make me the sure winner of the duel for Pav! Muhuhuhaha! (Only to have my title taken effortlessly by Eviesmum, who has already won the contest hands down with her real-life Pav interaction / facebook friendliness... CURSES!)

You're right though, he's probably busy... training with Sharron and that... no internet access... SOB!

Gawd, what are we like?

Actually today, you beat me in the evil stakes hands down. And I even handed you the ammunition, oh the shame. ... I have never heard of eviesmum, I'm sure the rumours you have heard are not true, she doesn't exist <sticks finger in her ears, lalalalalalalal>

We are absolutely normal, who would not like Pav?

Just found out I have rehearsal on Sunday night. Grr

I have to catch up with the final later in the night. So forgive me if I'm not on DS straight after to boast about supporting the winner the whole way through.
