Due to Eurosport's EPG listings being all over the place today I managed to tune in right after The Kerrs had skated their OD. Bah! They seem to have got on all right though being in 5th place now.

Only a couple of points between the Canadians and Americans so the free dance should be interesting.

I have just watched the repeat of Robin and Aliona, beautiful, I could watch these 2 all day.

I missed it because of Eurosports timings as well!

Just really happy for Brian Joubert getting a medal.

Really happy for Joubert getting on the podium after a nightmare Olympics. Overall though the Men's was a little disappointing with a few of the top guys missing.

Can't wait for the Free Dance tomorrow.

Thrilled for Joubert to get back in the game. But also thrilled for Daisuke - I really enjoy his free programme

I didn't think it was disappointing despite missing some of my old favourites. I thought a lot of the new guys are really exciting and they've learnt to use the IJS and still come up with some fab programmes. I was disappointed that Eurosport didn't show the group with Kevin Reynolds and Fernandez as their free programmes are great.

I think for me it just didn't match up to the Olympics. I think that can always be a problem with a World Champs so soon afterwards though.

I was as well I love Brian Joubert and I hope he keeps competing. I was pleased to see Kevin Van Der Perrin back on form as well!

Looking forward to the Free Dance tonight....does anyone know if Delobel and Shoenfelder competing, thanks to Eurosport I missed the beginning of the Original programme!

I was very disappointed in the men last night, it just didn't live up to the short programme imo, well apart from Joubert and the brilliant Diasuke.

Daisuke was amazing but he's been so critical of his short program saying that he didn't skate fast enough. Its kinda sweet.

I know he's such a perfectionist. I really admire him going for that quad flip in his LP, even if he didn't quite land it. A jump that's never been done in competition before. Daisuke winning gold also means he's the first Japanese man to ever win at Worlds. I'm so happy for him, he deserves it so, so much.

Also really pleased for Joubert, I thought he should've got silver personally. He did do two quads after all. And Johnny Weir agrees with me.

Watched the Ice Dance earlier. It was a great competition. Davis & White deserved to win the Free Dance - they were even better than in the Olympics whereas Virtue & Moir were not quite as good and made a couple of errors. Think Scott & Tessa were a little fortunate to win Gold tonight.

Natalie & Fabian who finished 4th were fantastic too - good job the italians had a comfortable lead on them going into the Free. Well done to the Kerrs for finishing 5th though, their highest ever finish at the Worlds, although the Russians and Belbin/Agosto were missing so that helped their position.

I missed the Americans but they seemed to have been very good by what the commentator was saying. Tessa and Scott didn't have the same magic as at the Olympics but I do always enjoy watching them perform. Missed Robin on the commentary!!

I agree about Davis and White, I loved their short programme and I think they were unlucky not to get the gold. Their long programme was really difficult and performed perfectly.

I agree. I thought they deserved gold.

The Kerrs did well.

Eurosport's coverage of the ladies' free was a bit pathetic wasn't it? I'm glad it's the event I tend to care least about in figure skating...

Mao deserved to win over Yu-Na so I'm glad she did, but I guess it says something for the quality of what Yu-Na does that she still managed to beat her in the free skate scores. I still find her a bit boring though.

Anyway, it's the gala tomorrow.

Yes, I am so pleased Mao won, great skate, shame about Yu-Na. I was very annoyed with Eurosport, it's been a long time since we have had so many great female skaters and we got to see 5 was it. I love the eastern lady skaters, they bring so much to the sport imo.

I had the TV all to myself last night and I settled down at 8pm to watch the free dance and good old Eurosport starred again and we only got to see the last group then they did it again with the Ladies Free programme this afternoon

It's dreadful, we only have these competitions twice a year and then don't let us all of them

Well Eurosport can sod off, we have changed our TV package and as from Monday we won't receive it, there won't be any Ice Skating on until January next year and even if the BBC only give us the edited Highlights that will be as much as we have seen on Eurosport this week!

The gala is on Eurosport at 6:15 tonight. The last 15 mins clashes with Dancing On Ice though. I really want to see the end 'cause apparently they all danced together to Lady Gaga. xD Will have to record it on my parents' V+ box...

Mind you will Eurosport even show the end? Probably just be a select few highlights again. I've been really disappointed with them this year.

I really hope they show the whole thing, or most of it! I've been a bit disappointed, but at least they've been covering it.

I was annoyed to miss half the men's competition, I really wanted to see Fernandez, love both his routines, especially pirates, but I'm glad he had a good skate.

You can still see the men's online here
www.eurovisionsports.tv/events

and more of the gala

Loved Fernandez and Amodio and Kevin Reynolds and also Ryan Bradley's whose long programme made us laugh so much - so foppish!

I really like Florent Amodio's and Javier Frenandez's programs as well. Denis Ten is someone else Eurosport didn't show. I watched most of the men's LP on an online stream 'cause I really didn't want to miss them. Will probably do that for most of it next year when I'm at uni. Adrian Schulteiss is another skater I like 'cause of his mad music and costume choices (plus he does quads). I'd have given him bonus points just for skating to Pac Man. I always think the men's skating seems to have so much more character than the ladies.
