Maks is my favourite but they're all lovely! I particularly like Chelsie amongst the female pros.

Hmmmm I'm watching it now properly for the first time really, though I've dipped in and out before.
The choreography seems so fast for everyone for me, but I'm enjoying it. |

I have just started to watch my recording from last night.......I was watching Over the Rainbow.......

I thought this was one of the best 'first weeks' of any series; other than Buzz, who really gave a good effort for his age, there was only one very poor showing - blonde woman, can't remember her name.
All the others were pretty good; Loved Ethan, but then I loved watching him skate, so a bit biased - wonder why he chose to do dwts instead of the skating worlds champs though? Nicole was a good performer, but Len was so right about her lack of technique - better to leave something out a routine than do it so wrongly ... the "fleckerl that wasn't"! Her dance experience will stand her in good stead to produce vote-catching performances though. Thought Pamela Anderson was a shambles. |

Was Pamela drunk? Or is that what she "does" to try to look sexy? Well it did not work imo
. Actually she had good rhythm & musicality if she'd worked a bit harder she could have been more technically correct but seemd to just ooze all over her partner - poor chap she looked old enough to be his mother .I did not like the new format, however the way it is so abruptly chopped in the editing could have something to do with it & although Brooke was a natural I do miss Samantha. I've looked on the website but can't find out why she has left, does anyone know? So far the olympic skater & the African-American footballer seem to be my faves - but early days yet. |

This was definitely the best season premiere of Dancing with the stars in a long time. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
Chad & Cheryl He has a lot of potential to go far in the competition. Shannen & Mark I thought it was a forgettable performance and i also have a feeling that she is not going to be able to accept negative criticism. Erin & Maksim They have great chmistry and they did a good Cha Cha Cha. Erin should straighten her legs more to get a better hip action. Jake & Chelsie I'm glad Chelsie is back. I thought Jake was rather wooden and dull. Niecy & Louis My favourite couple of this season, but could change as time goes on. She looked like she had the most fun and her VT was very funny. Evan & Anna He had some beautiful lines and good technique. The only problem i can see is that he lacks chmistry with Anna. Buzz & Ashly Ashley is back!!! She hasn't been on the show since season 3. Buzz did well for someone who is over 80.Nicole & Derek I was expecting her to be brilliant and she was. I hope we don't have Len criticising her every week while the other judges love her. Aiden & Edyta I have this feeling that Edyta could be going out first again. Edyta puts too many gimmicks in her choreography. Kate & Tony Feel sorry for Tony. She seems really miserable, Kate is going to have trouble getting votes. Pamela & Damian This was hit and miss for me. There were moments when she was fantastic but She forgot her steps and was out of time at some points of the routine. The way she was trying to act sexy after finishing her dance was cringeworthy. |

I really enjoyed the first show, i've only just watched it though
![]() Anyway... Chad & Cheryl: I enjoyed the routine, i like him alot and i think he has potential. I'm not a fan of Cheryl though. Shannen & Mark: The routine even seemed difficult to me (somebody with NO experience) but i thought she did ok, however i'm not keen on people who cry all the time so i'm hoping she doesn't do that every week. Erin & Maks:One of my favourite couples so far and one of my favourtie performances. I like that she wants to do well. Jake & Chelsie: I thought he did ok, and he came across as really nice and a good laugh. He is also with my favourite female pro (along with Lacey). Niecy & Louis: I really enjoyed her performance, it showed that she was having fun which i always like to see. I find her hilarious and they are another of my favourite couples. Evan & Anna:I actually thought the chemistry between them was good He perfromed well as expected, though i am looking forward to his latin.Buzz & Ashley: Bless him, he did ok for his age ![]() Nicole & Derek: She did well as expected but i think her latin will be better. Aiden & Edyta: This man is gorgeous, why oh why couldn't he have been better!! I'm not keen on Edyta i'm afraid, i just still haven't warmed to her ![]() Kate & Tony: First impressions weren't great but i'll wait and see what her latin is like before i write her off. Pam & Damien: Well Damien seems lovely but Pam is too much, she was all over him when they were watching the others dance, i would just like to see her being normal, unless that is it?? I quite enjoyed the dance though, and then Bruno afterwards was funny. Looking forward to next week ![]() Forgot to add that i already prefer Brooke to Sam. |

Her actual dancing was okay though. Not great, but certainly far from hopeless. |

I am missing the pros who've gone, in particular Kym. Thought Brooke was pleasant enough as was Samantha before her, but I'd like to see someone with a bit more
irreverence to complement Tom. |

With regards to Week 1, enjoyed the show but still unhappy with the pro's that got cut (especially Kim and Lacey) and not really sure who I like - Evan and Nicole are as you would expect, gonna be hard to beat but not warming to either, glad Ashley is back but for how long
![]() Did like Chad (but dont like Cheryl) so think I will be lookin towards Jake and Chelsie fo improve and get a bit of a run. Thought Brooke was ok and prepared to give her time to settle (but her boobs were alright while performing, now they can be a bit distracting when she's interviewing- a bit more discretion required from the wardrobe dept. )But missing Miss harris already. ![]() Raven |

Watched it for the first time last night, loved Neicy, Chad, Nicole and Shannon. Was transfixed at Pammie the whole show, was she on something? High on life no doubt!
Cried at the end of Shannon's (ridiculously complex for a first dance) VW. Is it me, or are the pros coreographing to a far higher level than normal? Seemed feendishly hard in places. Favourite of the night by a mile was Nicole and Derek's VW, even my husband said 'that's fantastic'. Can't wait for the next show, though having seen the spoiler for who goes, I am a little sad. Buzz for the final!!! |

No spoilers from me but just some old news: Ratings sagged last season so they made some personnel changes. They fired Samantha (not how she put it, but that's basically it), and interviewed several to take her place (Mel B, Melissa Rycroft, Lisa Rinna, Drew Lachey - a couple more I think.) They decided on Brooke, maybe because she won her season. I wish they'd picked Mel or Melissa.
They also notified Lacey, Kym, Karina, Alec, and Jonathan, pretty early on, that they wouldn't be back this season. The last week before their practice-time started, Dmitry was told his celeb dropped out and he wouldn't be on either (though I think he matched Pamela better physically than the new guy Damien.) |

Oh, I am so glad this is back, even if I get to watch it late.
Miss the wonderfully classy Sam. Brooke is pretty but a bit blousy. Interesting line up this year. Nicole S is amazing, but I'd expect her to be. Glad Lacey has gone. Bit of a madam that one That Kate is a right pain in the rear! Poor Tony. And Shannon is a drip too. Never known the 'stars' be so rude to the pros. They'd better buck up and shut up. Oh, what fun. Hi kaycee - great to see you here *waves* |

I think Nicole S and Evan will be the ones to beat this season. Nicole getting 10's from the start!
Bruno needs to calm down, his hyperactive comments are getting old. On a sidenote Buzz Aldrin's wife - her face is well scary! |

Have to admit I think he's pathetic - wearing those stupid T-shirts and going on and on about him being an American patriot and hero of the people. Tsk! Get over yourself Bud. You walked on the moon. Fab. But it was years ago. |

Hi kaycee - great to see you here *waves* Was going to start a "Week 2" thread, but nearly everything has already been said on here. I tend to agree with all you haven said - Brooke is ok, but Sam was class, pity the bbc couldn't snap her up for Strictly! I didn't realise until last night that Lacey was not was there this year, that's how much I missed her!! Wasn't as impressed overall this week as last. Shannon was pretty bad, if you watched her legs! Reminded me of "Bambi" learning to walk for the first time. I was surprised by Pam; her foxtrot wasn't at all bad, but why did they drop some of the decent pros and replace them with Damian? His ballroom dreadful - his hand was splayed on Pam's back the whole dance - a classical beginner's fault, not one expected from a pro. Bored with Buzz already; and Kate is a pain. Nicole & Evan both have early advantages so would expect them to be good. Nicole's dance was very "stagey" as opposed to "good" jive, so I agreed with Len's lack of a '10'; but also agreed with Bruno it was best jive ever in just a 2nd week. Chad needed to learn to stand up straight, and also to take criticism without looking like a spoilt child! Erin If she stops talking (arguing) I think she will do well as she showed great potential. However, I think Len's lecture to her about "listening and respecting their pro partners" was not necessarily aimed at her. Kate No comment. I know I've left 2 out, one who Edyta managed to elbow twice, and another, but can't remember their names, but both showed potential. Loved the dancers from Haiti, but WHY WHY WHY do they have to resurrect old "well-past-their-sell-by" has-beens like the Beach Boys. |

She hasn't been on the show since season 3. Buzz did well for someone who is over 80.
