Loved the dancers from Haiti, but WHY WHY WHY do they have to resurrect old "well-past-their-sell-by" has-beens like the Beach Boys. Yep, you're spot on with your comments - as ever ![]() Haiti dancers were breathtaking - I could have watched for much, much longer. I also love the music that comes out of Haiti: extraordinarily talented and beautiful people ![]() The Beach Boys were dire. God, Whatsisface! He can't even sing any more. Why can't he just walk away from the humiliation? You need to know when to leave the damn stage Yep, Erin could be very, very good and I love Chad, but I think that's because he's gorgeous ![]() Edyta needs a slap. It's all about me, me, me. I pity her partner. Nice looking man: I think he has the balls to handle her though

So far i really like most of them.
Rather than the celebs for me it was the pro's that annoyed me. Edyta i don't like and i don't enjoy her choreography. Cheryl i still don't like but i enjoy her partnership with Chad so i hope he improves. I do like Shannen, her dad in the audience is very sweet. Her jive wasn't great though, better than i thought it would be but not great. I may be alone here but i thought Kate didn't do anything wrong and Tony over reacted abit I feel for her as she obviously can't dance but she does try and doesn't give up. I at first thought Chelsie was a little hard on Jake but after seeing his performance i'm glad she was as he was great and definitely has potential. Surprisingly i find myself enjoying Pamelas dancing, it's just the way she is when she's not dancing is what i'm not overly keen on. Oh and i think she couldn've done with a taller pro. Niecy was fab, and her and Louis together are fab so i think i am gonna look forward to them every week. I didn't really enjoy Evans dance but i could tell he was good. I'm not overly keen on his partner Anna but i did enjoy watching her in the pro dance. Nicole was great but i must prefer the more traditional jive (i wasn't aware of this ) as even though very very good it was missing something for me.Erin i really like and Maks is so likeable this year (so far ) Potential to go far i reckon. The person who was eliminated i really like so am abit gutted for them ![]() I am a big Len fan on this programme, it's wierd as i usually can't stand him on SCD!! ![]() ![]() Oh and i have to mention the brilliant Haiti dancers, i also could've watched them for much much longer. |

I'm surprised to hear of all the brutal cuts! Poor Samantha I really miss her, she is allegedly a good singer/dancer/actress herself - so I hope she gets some stage work again. I can't believe they got rid of Jonathan & Alec & brought in that Aussie who is much too petite for Pamela. I had to google/wiki him & can't find out his age but apparently he's been touring for ten years with "Burn The Floor" so he must be at least late 20's early 30's (to me he looks like the schoolboy thunderbirds puppet
).I wish they'd be more brutal on SCD, some of the older pro's are looking really tired imo & quite ridiculous when they are trying to look sexy in the latin numbers (I cringe when Anton does them). Anyway back to DWTS, glad Shannen went, I did not warm to her at all & those knashers really distracted me in the vids (has she got longer in the tooth & are they more protruding than when she was in "Charmed" or is it my imagination?). I hope Kate goes next; as her constant moaning is a real drain. I watch this show to make me happy not depressed, I am going to FF her VT next week & just watch her dancing to see if Tony has managed to help her improve. Buzz really is the weakest but I just know he'll be in for ages, cos going on past series the Yanks seem to love their national heroes (monuments) & the women always tend to go before the men, until it's down to about the final 4-5. N.B. Nicole's "jive" just did nothing for me, where were all the kicks & flicks? Not a patch on Jill Halfpenny's imo, Bruno & Carrie Ann were just soo OTT, do they want to choreograph the PCD's next hit one wonders? Maybe they just want an invite to one of their parties?????? Shame I've heard a rumour they are splitting up |

I loved the dancers from Haiti how I wish they would have something like that on Strictly and forget trying to talk big name singers onto the show when they obviously dont want to come and do it......some of last series musical interludes were just dire.....Andy Williams anyone !!!!!!!
Strictly and DWTS are dance shows so dancers (other than the pros on the show) should be highlighted and not just bendy girl and whats his face every year. |

I found the second week of DWTS very entertaining. I noticed that there were a lot of arguements between a lot of the couples.
Shannen & Mark Mark not being able to dance for six weeks, It's probably a good thing that Shannen left the show early. I thought her Jive was okay but Mark always over dances and makes his partners look bad in the process. Aiden & Edyta I thought this couple would be going home first. Felt a bit sorry for Aiden when he got hit in the face twice by Edyta. Evan & Anna He was great at the jive but when he is being interviewed i find him very boring. Niecy & Louis Niecy foxtrot was fun and graceful. Niecy could be the dark horse of the competition. Jake & Chelsie He has potential to go far in the show. Buzz & Ashly I know he has been to the moon but Buzz is milking it for all it's worth on the show. I hated the part of the routine when Buzz salutes the American flag. Nicole & Derek Her jive was fantastic but she will not win the show. Americans do not like the fact that she already has dancing experience. Erin & Maksim I thought they performed the best foxtrot. Erin should probably listen to Maks more and she will improve. Pamela & Damian I am surprised that Pamala can actually dance well. She would probably not be in the bottom two if she stopped acting weird. Chad & Cheryl Big disappointment. He needs to work on his posture. Also Chad should do less flirting and more practicing. Kate & Tony Poor Tony Kate is a terrible dancer. That was probably the worst jive i have seen on DWTS and it was overmarked. I would have scored it a 2 not a 5. Kate was worse than Buzz.

B*LLSH*T. Nicole blew me away with her VW, and her Jive was a FANTASTIC dance, just not a traditional Jive. I can see Len will be a Scrooge the whole series. It's sort of obvious Nicole won't win, the best people rarely do. Just like Mya all over again.. but if Nicole improves from the very high standard she's at now, I'd say she could be better than Kristi Yamaguchi. |

Pity about Nicole's extensive dance experience. She shouldn't be allowed in the competition. It would be much better without her. The likes of Erin, Jake and Evan would make for a very interesting show.
![]() No worse than Mya, and surely even though Kristi was an Ice Skater, she had plenty of experience. |

I agree. Don't see any point in getting uptight over this. She hasn't done ballroom, and the best don't necessarily win - as evidenced every year on SCD

Nicole has nowhere near the dance training Mya has had I don't believe. Mya trained with Savion Glover. Evan is much like Kristi and has plenty of experience also, not to mention huge fan support. Erin has an extensive dance background as well.

Samantha is and has been for quite a while on a daily evening 'entertainment' show. I have heard she will be doing more at that show. I had no issues with her on DWTS and rather liked her. Although the interviewer role is important, in my opinion I don't think it merits enough thought to actually fire her. I dont think the ratings are affected either way by her presence. Who knows what really happened though.
I agree the Beach Boy lead singer was horrible and have no idea why he continues to sing, but the Beach Boys are an institution in this country for almost 50 years so they can be cut some slack. They recently played here in Honolulu and on Maui and I read the reviews and didnt hear anything negative. It may have been an off night that particular evening. "sorta' sorry to see Shannon go before Buzz and Kate, but she is not well liked and does not have a sweet reputation. I think the fans spoke to that effect. |

Sorry, but no -
I think the problem with being a music 'institution' is that sentimental people let you get away with singing like a drunken cat when you should really step off the stage and let the new talent take over.
And you get to rock up on shows like SCD in the UK and DWTS in the USA. I can think of quite few 'institutions' who should give up now while they still have some dignity. Paul McCartnery is one, as is dear old Cliff, Rod Stewart, the Who, etc.etc. And Brucie of course. Cut them some slack? No, I'm sorry I want to be entertained. That's why I pay my TV license - and I am the customer after all. |

I love the Beach Boys but found that performance disgraceful. But like I said, Mike Love is NOT the Beach Boys. Carl and Dennis are dead, and Brian is doing his own thing. How they get to perform under that name is a mystery to me. Maybe they pay Brian royalties or something : )

Brian Wilson was on British tv a couple of years back - if I remember correctly, it was a concert in the grounds of Buckingham Palace, arranged by the 2 princes. Anyway, he was a total embarrassment then, and judging by his appearance on dwts he's gone steadily downhill since. The Beach Boys may have been an "institution" in US in their time; they were pretty popular in UK as well, but this latest performance was doing the name "Beach Boys" an injustice.
Old timers should know when to call it a day. If they want to carry on doing shows at theatres where their most ardent supporters can choose to go and see them, all well and good. But keep them off the tv; there's plenty of decent current performers for them to choose from. |

That wasn't Brian Wilson on DWTS - that was Mike Love....
Brian Wilson has his own band these days (not sure what its called) but he is much better at singing than Mike is - Brian and Carl were always the lead singers in the original Beach Boys, and while Brian can't reach the high notes he used to he is still pretty good. |

B*LLSH*T. I was being sarcastic about Bruno & Carrie Ann actually. I was suggesting it appeared they want to get in with Nicole, so they can offer to choreograph the dancing for the next PCD's hit. I used the word "one" as a pronoun; obviously it would have been better if I'd said "I" wonder. There is no need to get so aggressive & abusive about a pop group imo. |

I feel for her as she obviously can't dance but she does try and doesn't give up.
