I agree that the flying puts the men at a disadvantage - so why does it have to play such a big part in the final? Voting starts straight after that. It would be a more even playing field if they did the favourite routine first. After all, the skating is main part of the competition.

I don't agree with you at all about anything you've said. I think Suzanne was overrated.

And to me it's not all about finals night. Not even remotely. If Gary falls flat on his face, I'll still want him to win. I've warmed to him the most throughout the show.

Your last comment is so dismissive of Chris. He was amazing and his sakting skills do rival Ray's. Ray is better but Chris is close.

Agree with this. I supported Chris all the way through the series, although I really liked Suzanne as well. I hate the flying & that didn't influence me one little bit (if flying was crucial Kyran would never have won - I think a lot of the public see it as a bit gimmicky & not 'Dancing on Ice') but her performance to Music was stunning & Chris' Cry Me A River wasn't quite as good as when he first performed it. I ended up voting for Suzanne.

Not really. My frame of reference is that (correct me if I'm wrong) Chris won the second highest number of shows on tour something like 2/4 that Ray didn't win and when Ray did win, he was quite often against Chris. Therefore I'm just going by the numbers. Also it's plain to see that they both had a lot of difficult skating content, so that's the method of my madness if you will.

no Suzanne won more shows than Kyran (despite all the ankle problems and i hate people mentioning injuries but she had to be taken to hospital twice on tour so it was a real problem), she won the tour dvd night as well. I like Chris but he seems to bottle the big occasions, I think he tries too hard to get one up on her, he needs to calm down for the big occassions more. He did it for the xmas special as well, he needs to relax. On a normal day he'll probably beat her, but when the pressure is really on (show final, tour filming night and xmas special) she'll win, she deals with pressure better and she rises to it, she really ups her game. Chris seems to tighten up.
I dont think anyone has the last laugh by winning the tour to be honest, they are all competitive of courseand want to do well but any time you hear them talking about it they all seem to consider the tour a bit of fun and an opportunity to relax and try out moves (chris said that himself last year though whether thats because Ray was winning I dont know lol). I dont think you take a huge amount from who wins tour shows, Bonnie beat Kyran and Clare heavily on the first one, but I'd have Clare and Kyran above her personally, the only champion to win a tour is Ray. I honestly think if Chris could swap the tour trophy for the show one he would in a heartbeat. But thats the past I suppose. Chris and Suzanne have always seemed very good mates as well. Matt was saying on twitter than the 3 of them were hanging out a couple of weeks ago at hers.

I also dont think the flying was crucial. People take things perceived advantages/disadvantages into account when voting. Kyran was the worst at flying his year and he still managed to win, Clare got 29.5 for hers...

Not that it matters at all but I'm sure he'd swap trophies with her!
She has 2 trophies out of 3 and he has 1 out of 3 and he lost to her the night they filmed the dvd for that one (which I do feel quite sorry for him about).
I think he was a very good runner up on the show and has been a great competitor since. I do hope he pushes Ray more on the tour this year.
Its also nice that himself and Suzanne are such good mates now. There was absolutely none of the nastiness between them like there was between the fans, in fact the fans seem to be really nice to eachother now.
Anyhow this is a bit pointless thats all the past now...

Chris did say on Loose Women that the tour is not as competitive as the show on TV. He said that they're all like one big family, perform the best they can, & have a laugh, which anyone who has watched the tour dvds, behind the scenes bits, they seem to do.

Yes, I was a huge Suzanne fan all through series 3 and still am, but I never got what was so great about her flying routine. I never like the flying routines at all though, just not my thing. With the other routines she absolutely blew Chris out the water (off the ice?) and as you say, Chris was a bit disappointing by comparison. I even remember all the Chris fans saying how underwhelming they found his blur spin. xD I like Chris too though, it was a great series.
