Unable to watch any on demand
HEEEEELPP!!
For the past few weeks we have been having terrible problems watching any VOD content without the dreaded "Error V005 (or whatever number it is!) On Demand is Currently Unavailable" - literally if we try to watch any programme at any time on demand we'll see about 30 seconds of the programme before it grinds to a jerky halt and gives that message. Now, I have checked all of the internet connections, restarted the BT Vision box and the BT Homehub several times to no avail. At first we were able to restart the programme using the 'play again' function but now that doesn't work either ![]() Before I consider switching to Virgin (which I really don't want to do because all in all I love BT Vision) has anyone any bright ideas? Could it be my internet connection has somehow become slow causing the BT Vision box to not 'pull' all of the programmes down when playing them??

It could be many things - I'm surprised you've put up with this for so long without calling BT Support.
Has anything changed recenty ? |

To be honest I have put off speaking to BT Support because last time I had an issue with Vision I was passed from pillar to post and spoke to people who seemed to have no idea how to resolve the issue in hand. But you're right, I should give them a call to resolve it else I am paying for a service I can't actually use. |

Just a couple of things that may help - your line may have a fault or you've been upgraded to the upto 20 meg product but QOS was not transferred.

Hi malpasc,
What is the exact error code you're getting (there isn't a V005 one!) Can you run a test at www.speedtester.bt.com and post up the full results? Ta, Stephanie BT Support |

I think it is Error V04 thinking about it.
Anyway, I shall come back with a definitive response later! |

I get error vo4 all the time it's driving me insane I reset the box that doesn't work I ring Bt and they are always really lovely and tell me they will run line rate tests then they tell me my line rate has dropped and they will reset it and my BT vision on demand works for a couple of days then drops out again .I feel I am paying an awful lot of money per month compared with the sky and virgin packages for something that rarely works .But the help team are always so lovely I never get the courage to say I want some of my money back cos I can only watch it 20% of the time
