I'm interested in this too. Will the phone service be available in areas that don't have LLU equipment provided by O2?

Not sure but I don't think you will be able to if you can't get the LLU

Yes, but you have to take O2's (non-LLU) Access broadband package.

They wouldn't confirm (to me) exactly when it is starting - but did say you can register your interest at http://broadband.o2.co.uk/telesales/.../broadband.jsp

Do you have to have a BT landline to sign up, or will they be making connections?

You need a BT landline according to the O2 Blog and the original "coming soon" adverts from last year. The way it was originally pitched - but they may have changed the plan - was as a "Bolt On" for O2 Broadband.

Yeah, on the o2 blog, loads of people posted that they would have to get a BT line, in which they would then be tied into a 12 month contract. But they did reply saying thank you for the feedback and they'll be looking into it.
