Donal is lovely isn't he!!! He said that Hayley is the outstanding favourite to win but he wants Kieron to win. He said Kieron is an underdog and he has a wonderful gentleness about him and he's away from all the hungry winners.

Re Donal's kids being upset when Dr Hilary went out.... he said they called him "Dr Wilary"... how sweet!

Edit: How nice it would be if Donal swapped places with the awful rude Jason!!!!

Donal is divine

gave a very very interesting description of Kieron being a gentle soul and was supportive of him.

Why did they have to show the dreadful Coleen for quite a percentage of the time when it's such a short interview and have to say she looked quite large and even more ungainly

Awww, that's lovely of him! As if we didn't already know that Donal is a very very nice man with fine tastes!

He is indeed divine. The Loose Women clearly thought so too. Fiona Phillips could barely contain herself.

I adore Donal, I did for all of last series. I don't think I've ever supported someone quite so much.

Great guy!

Although I supported Ray from week 1 last year I liked Donal and could thoroughly understand the support he amassed as the competition progressed - however I do recall the interview after the final of Ray, Donal, and Jess on GMTV when neither Ray nor Jess could get a word in edgeways, as Donal completely dominated proceedings. I'm sure it was unintentional and he probably wasn't aware of what he was doing, but I felt it took some of the shine away from Ray's victory.

If you think it was unintentional (and I'm sure it was), why bring it up? It was a year ago.

I brought it up because this is a forum open to my opinion as much as that of anyone else.

Yes - it was a year ago, it's also a year since Donal made the final 2 - much to the excitement and euphoria of his supporters. Understandably they love reminiscing about that night - and you show no objections to that - on the contrary you have joined in:

Last series being a year ago.

I find your observation more than a tad biased and subjective.

He definitely is. I think he was just overexcited (still), but I understand why Ray and Jess supporters would have been a bit miffed.

I know, in my case, it takes one to know one

I do the same, expecially when I'm excited and pleased about something.

I just thought your comment was a bit odd to be honest. Why bring up a single interview from a year ago, when he hardly even did anything wrong in it. Like you say, you're entitled to your opinion and I'm entitled to respond with my thoughts.

And yes, last series was a year ago and I liked him then and I still like him now. It's not quite the same as your comment though.

Have just seen this from the ITV website. He is lovely. Shame I don't live in London & won't get an opportunity to watch him on London Tonight.

Completely agree. Infact during the last 2 weeks or so of last year's series, I noticed Donal's tendency for self-obsession and that last interview really cemented a (viewing) dislike for him.

I noticed the comment about Kieron being away from the hungry winners - was that a dig at Haley

You might think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
