Unless he is completely thick, would he really have slagged off the show and its cast as he did? He must realize that as a popular cast member he would completely mess up his EE career.

And the way he talks about the cast - doesnt sound like him "I get on with the girl that plays Sharon, and the bloke that plays my son. The rest are w******."

I just think it all seems a bit fishy, and I think that maybe the whole thing has been concocted for some money from the story. Well, at least the slagging off anyway.

I think you could be right about Leslie- to be honest, I thought something was a bit fishy when I first saw the story yesterday.

The People also has a reputation for tampering with pictures and making stories up- I always remember a front page story they ran on Alex from Big Brother 3, saying that he had starred in some porn pics, and they'd put this "censor" sign over what they said was a girl's hand pleasuring Alex when, in actual fact, it was a bag of popcorn!

And there was another time when they printed a picture of Divine Brown (the hooker caught with Hugh Grant) in a bit of a compromising position, only it turned out that it wasn't Divine at all, it was a lookalike!

So, I don't trust anything the People say, really.

Can't help feeling a bit sorry for the guy - he did the equivalent of sending a video-mobile clip of his pants to a lady who was giving him the big come-on. Unfortunately Leslie Grantham is in the public eye. He is old enough and worldly wise enough to know that he is a target for the gutter press. While I feel sympathy for him he should have had a wee bit more wit.

I have been very puzzled by all this. I could not imagine why a man of LG's experience would seriously do and say what he has to someone he did not even know. He must have realised that the first place this lady would run to would be the press.

As far as the photograph is concerned, I was not even sure it was him. I don't want to champion his cause if he has done what it is said he has done but I hope a proper investigation is launched, not a kangaroo Court.

I think there's a definate element of 'set up' in it, and the lady *cough* reporter *cough* certainly seemed to be leading him into saying things about others in the cast. However, although what he was allegidly doing sounded a bit naff and distasteful (y-fronts, I ask you ) I think its a bit much being labled a 'net perv', as far as I can tell they were two consenting adults and no one was objecting, if the young female in question had been that disturbed, there's a very handy device on most computers these days, it's called 'Shut down'.

Well the problem is he must have known he was likely to be caught. I heard (can't remember where) that high profile guys like politicians, film stars etc, become drawn to these kind of dangers (Hugh Grant, Beckham etc) and do ridiculous stuff because it's the only way to give their jaded egos a thrill. Like a gambling addict maybe -- you know it's all going to end in tears but you can't help yourself.

No sympathy for the 'lady' concerned who was obviously setting him up and leading him on, just a shame he wasn't bright enough to notice what her game was.

Theres not much to watch now Laura, janine, Lynne, Barry, Phil, Peggy, Mark, kelly and Gus are gone...and sharon talking about leaving later in the year. Its a very tacky publicity stunt from the same people who have brought us tacky storylines and are unsure how to rectify it. I can see the front page of the star in a few months "Eastenders June Brown and Pam St Clement in drug induced lesbian orgy" hehe

Call me cynical. LG could have been set up by LB and co to get rid of him as his big comeback isnt working as she hoped. Easy way of getting rid of him without having to pay him or is this too much of a conspiracy theory

After seeing the pic of him sucking his finger then the one of him showing his flabby belly i dont care if its a set up i will never watch him on eastenders in the same light again.
