There is no doubt that Lady GaGa is one of the most exciting artists to emerge in the last couple of years.

Her music, creativity & image are fresh & each song is better than the last one. It's rare that when an album is milked to the extent that The Fame/The Fame Monster has been, that the singles released last are as successful as the first few, but that's exactly what has happened with Telephone, a brilliantly catchy song with an amazing video to match.

And apparently there is one more single to be released from the album - Alejandro.

Question is, is she risking over exposure? How many singles will that be from the one album/album re-release - 6?

Do you think we will need a longer break from her before she releases new material? Does taking a longer break ensure that we have a bigger appetite for new material from an artist? Or can we simply not get enough of all things GaGa?

She has stated that her new material will be her best yet & she has already written the core of the album.

Just for the record, I am a huge fan of GaGa, I absolutely love her album, especially The Fame Monster, & I think it's fabulous that she has seemingly come from nowhere to literally take over the world with her talent. She's so unstoppable it's exciting

I kinda what her to take a break, I mean I do like her, and The Fame Monster is one of the best albums of the last few years, but she's starting to get on my nerves.

^^ this is going to be her problem. She is overexposed as it is. If she doesn't take time out she will end up suffering a big backlash like the Spice Girls did. I only use the Spice Girls as the example because they are the only other act I can think of who got this famous and that exposed in a very short space of time. It's good but dangerous as it can backfire on you.

So did she release Lovegame? I wasn't sure, wasn't there something about the video being banned - it was supposed to be the 3rd single or something like that?

Just Dance, Pokerface, Paparazzi, Lovegame?, Bad Romance, Telephone, Alejandro. Man that is a lot of singles from one album!

What?!

Can't believe that decision. Surely DITD, Monster or Speechless would've been better single choices?!

Yay for local Gaga fans!

'Eh Eh' only had a release in Australia.

Her worldwide singles have been -

Just Dance
Poker Face
Paparazzi
Love Game
Bad Romance
Telephone

And now 'Alejandro'. But still, that's alot for a debuting artist in her first 18 months.

My thoughts exactly. Bad Romance was a good choice, but Alejandro and Telephone are both pretty weak imo. I mean Alejandro will do well because of the current hype around GaGa, but its one of the weaker songs in FM imo.

3 albums in 2 years in seriously impressive. Yes 'The Fame Monster' was a re-release in the UK but worldwide it was a separate second album. The sooner we get new music from Gaga the better in my opinion but she works herself 2 hard and there is the risk of over exposing herself.

I think she needs to take a good year or so out.. this whole haus of gaga kooky stuff is getting tiresome for some people now.. it was fresh and fun in 2009 but now its kinda run of the mill.

I really dont know WHY she feels the need to release so much material is short spaces of time.. she doesnt need to worry about being forgotten about or anything, shes made sure everyone knows her.
I can understand why Rihanna used to release an album pretty much every year when she first started, because she hadn't cemented herself on the music scene and now shes this bonafied superstar whose music is getting great reviews...

Didn't she also have a duet with Maroon 5?

I guess if the material is strong enough then why not release so many singles, especially if there is a market for them, which there clearly is for both Rihanna & GaGa.

To me, The Fame is good (it has a few filler songs though), The Fame Monster is much stronger (near perfect actually) so I'm excited to hear what she brings out next

Thats great and all, but she really should take a break and keep her head down for health and overexposure.

people remember that the fame was released elsewhere in the the world nearly 2 years ago! i heard 'just dance' back in summer 2008. so songwriting wise, she may feel that shes had a long enough gap to release a full album of new material. the only reason i would want her to take a break is for her own health, she doesnt seem to stop working!
for me there can never be enough music from gaga, i could listen to her forever!

Also some European countries, did quite well in the French charts I believe - #2 I think.

Dance In The Dark would have been amazing, it's possibly my favourite GaGa song along with Paper Gangsta and Bad Romance, The Fame Monster is the best pop album of last year just behind Rihanna's Rated R and Florence's Lungs.
but Alejandro should bring The Fame era to a nice end if it is the final single, cause over releasing material could prove too much!

also i think GaGa should wait a little bit longer to release her next album, maybe Spring next year to be able to stay more focused on what to do next, because she is doing 4 or 5 things all at once all the time, by the end of this tour she should take a few months out and then maybe focus on what she is going to do next.
but i am pleased she is still creating new music and tunes, i hope it is a bit more of an evolve from the eh-eh-eh's, rah-rah's,ooh-la-la,p-p-puh's, mmmmuh-mmmmuh-mmmmuh's and woaohaaaaooooh's lol.
but three albums in two years, krikey!

gotta admire her though, but i would love it if she could take two months out to just rest a bit then really delve deep into album #3 even though she has recorded the core of the third album already haha!
where does she find time?

also i think this year Christina Aguilera is going to be a huge force with Bionic which sounds like it is going to be incredible! and i am a major fan of her's, also Madonna is set to release an album later this year too which is amazingly exciting! this pair are my favourite females in the music industry (aside from Kate Bush,Florence Welch,Bjork,Rihanna and Stevie Nicks of course...and Gaga)

as well as rumours of Britney recording(could be impressive by the reports and rumours circulating it is similar to Blackout's distinctive sounds),Kelly Rowland(David Guetta production), and goodness knows how many new acts LOL!

so Gaga should come out with her album in a fresh new year, she has a strong fanbase so she will be fine and mighty in 2011 :P

The Fame Monster was her second, so she's only had 2 singles from this album, 3 including alejandro. I can't wait till people get bored of listening to the same sound over and over again.

Somebody did mention already that The Fame Monster was released as a 2nd separate album in some parts of the world, but where I'm from (Ireland) it was sold as a double CD (The Fame & The Fame Monster in one CD pack) so I consider it a re-release, albeit a huge cut above other re-releases where there are usually only 2 or 3 new songs that are nowhere near as good as the material on The Fame Monster.

The Fame Monster is a completely different sound, IMO, to The Fame - listen to them back to back and you might agree.
