They just wont cope. EE will go down the drain. What will there excuse for Sharon be?

"I'm thrilled that I got my Dad back after 14 years, but now I've decided to go, for no apparant reason. Byeeeeeee!!!!!" - Sharon

"Well Princess, if you're going then I guess I will too." - Den

OR, could it be:

"I still love Dennis, therefore I need to leave Albert Square. I must not stay." - Sharon

"Well, I think I need to pop back to Spain for ANOTHER 14 years, and also I'm a net perv and being sacked so I've decided to leave my home, my two daughters, son and wife. Byeeeeeeeeee!!!" - Den

LOL what are they gonna do?????!

If he has been sacked, then they are going to be left in a state. Episodes are normally filmed about 6 weeks in advance (I think), so I presume there is some plot devlopement involving Den over the next 6 weeks, which he'll then just suddenly disapper from, a la Dan Ferraria and Joe Scully in neighbours. I can't see how they can build up to his departure, if he has gone, when up until yesterday, they didn't know it would be happening.

I think Frank Butcher got sacked in 2000, but he didn't leave the soap immediately. He only left a few months later, in the episode when Peggy found out about his and Pat's affair. Even more complicating was that he briefly returned a couple of years ago when Peggy went down to sunny Spain.

I don't think he was sacked, he either left of his own accord or his contract wasn't renewed, can't remember which now, but in either case they had a definate 'last day' to build towards. If Leslie Grantham has been sacked, then I presume he's gone now, so it seems, in all likelyhood there'll be a very sudden absence to explain.

Yeh same goes for Elaine Jordan (Lynne) she was sacked before Christmas and she's still there. Basically they give the actor the option of working the rest of their contract. If Den has been sacked then he'd be the type to walk out there and then and never come back. I think if he does work the rest of his contract or at least for the next few months, they should kill him off. He should never been brought back at all. Maybe his wife Chrissie could be a murderer after all and kill him and take his money. Or she could stay and be a new permanent character, taking over the club from Dennis and Sharon, Sharon could then leave Walford not coping with the loss of Den again.

Or Dennis could kill Den (not as impossible as it seems) and Sharon leaves with Dennis, but I doubt bosses would want to get rid of Nigel Harman as he is actually a very good actor

But would Nigel Harman want to stick around with Letitia and Leslie gone (and with such uninspiring scripts)? I always assumed he would want to get out within a year or so as from what I've heard he finds the process dull and the fuss about his 'image' tiresome.

I've no idea how long Nigel Harman's contract is for, but it wouldn't be a great surpise to hear that he was going as well. His profile's had a massive boost, he's got a firm fan base and, I'd image, lucrative offers are coming in from other sources. I wouldn't image the current storylines and scripts of EE are much incentive to stay.

Yeah that's true actually. In that case Dennis and Sharon can leave at the same time. If Grantham is sacked/leaving, there is potential for some interesting and explosive storylines at the end of the year given the return of Phil/Michelle, the eventual return of Peggy and very possible return of Grant.

Personally I think they should give the explosive storylines a rest and get a bit more down to earth

The latest 'explosive' storyline they have hinted at is the return of ... Dean Gaffney. If Robbie is the nearest thing they can get to excitement, EE is definitely imploding.

I heard Ross Kemp said he wasn't interested in returning (no surprise there) but maybe that is one of those comments actors make to get their salary deal upped

I think Nigel H had his contract renewed for a year, a few months back but I could be wrong. However that doesn't mean they will actually use him for all that time .... e.g. Lynn has appeared on screen for about two minutes since Christmas! I can see NH doing well outside EE.

don't talk rubbish, he's probably making more money than he ever has, and he has nothing to gain in leaving the show (it's not like he's had time to make his fortune yet).
No he'll probably stay until the show is cancelled in a year or 2

Ross Kemp who played Grant said recently that he will never go back to EE and the he never watches the show anymore. Which is a shame as Im sure most people would like to see him and little Courtney back in the square.

EE will be able to cope without these characters, however it wont be able to cope with Louise being in charge for a further two years!

Well I saw Ross Kemp on Parkinson and he went very much down the line of 'Never say never' as now he hasn't had his golden handcuff deal at ITV renewed he says he isn't guaranteed work. Of course this shouldn't be read into too much but I would put money on him coming back at least for a little bit. (not much money though)

The guy should go, if he has any dignity. What a way to end your career. However, I would state that these "tabloids" that keep setting up celebs and such are heading for a fall as they will one day, pick on the wrong celeb/famous person. All I will say is "remember Princess Diana?"
