yes, yes you can. justcheck that it has enough inputs of the type you require.
you'll probably want an optical link for the dvd. |

As flagpole says it doesn't pay to buy an amp with limited connections, you'll need at least two optical inputs and always handy to have at least one digital coaxial input.
Might also be useful to have 6 channel RCA phono inputs if your DVD player supports DVD-Audio playback. You can certainly connect as many pieces of hardware to the amp as it will allow however you can not use the amp to amplify two different inputs at the same time. So you can not listen to SKY via the amp and listen to the DVD via the amp at the same time. |

Isn't Sky+ the only Sky digibox that offers optical out for Dolby 5.1? Even though other Sky boxes might have some sort of optical out? Unless you just want Dolby Surround.

Yes SKY+ is the only STB with an optical output and supports DD5.1 on some SKY movie channels. The discontinued SONY digiboxes have an optical output but never have and never will support DD5.1 audio.
However when buying any amp or home cinema all in one system it's better to pay a few quid more and future proof your purchase. You'll be kicking yourself if you ever do need an additional input at some time

Also the Disney Channel has some of their newer films in DD 5.1 and widescreen.

Just to say that the Sky+ optical output processes Dolby 5.1, Surround and normal Stereo. Thats all
![]() Oh. Its worth it. Totally. Just make sure you have got good speakers. |

If you amp has only 1 optical input, you can also get an optical to coax converter for around £20 and feed you Sky+ signal to a coax digital input.

Also, you can get an optical splitter which you could use three inputs into one using a switch to chose which feed.
