Pretty sure he had a boyfriend years ago who died of aids. Maybe that's where the ring came from that the previous questioner confused with a wedding ring.”

Don't know whether he's gay or not but I think you may be thinking of John Currie (Robin's predecessor in skating accomplishment) who died of AIDS himself. He was gay but I'm not sure about Robin. Doesn't stop him wearing a ring though, could still have had a civil partnership.

Result as predicted in show 1. Garys daughter did well to claim runners up spot. Thought kieron should have gone through myself, but well done to Hayley she skated well throughout.

Re the voting percentages location, i'm not sure in all honesty, the X factor one was doing the rounds pretty much straight after Joe won. I was hoping someone here would know.

Ray didn't really have anyone pushing him either.

She will have to face some of them on the tour & for my mind just based on those people on the tour Ray, Chris & Clare are all better than her.

Anyway I was responding to a poster who said she was the best ever in the show when IMO (and I think a lot of people of here) she isn't in the top 5.

I don't expect anyone to believe this but when I saw Hayley week one, I knew she would be the one, I could of put money on her and I wished I had.

Jason did the robbing. If he had been as more critical to Kieron than Gary there might have been a different outcome. Having said that Gary's Bolero was very good.

Suzanne's lovely little boy Corey was at the show every week last year - of course little 'uns get excited and of course mums/dads want to do it for their kids.

Not rocket science.

I don't really get all the negativity tonight. I loved the show and thought both Boleros were gorgeous - voted for Gary to win but don't begrudge Hayley at all. And did anyone notice philip did say Hayley Tamaddon AND Daniel Whiston Dancing on Ice champions right at the end of the show. He must have taken note of all the tweets!

Neither in the sense of male competition or a girl who could do moves that she hadn't done plus T + D seem to have gone for artistic rather than dynamic with the females for 2 years now.

Its a s hame really Hayley never got as complete a routine or one as long as Music or one as filled with wow factor as Clare's Since you have been gone.

Thats a problem for the tour as Hayley has two routines that she will presumably use but she can't adapt to what the others are doing. Chris seems to have a headbanger and Clare says she's been trying out Robin Cousins moves, and death spirals and she's also got the press lift that she did in Since You have been gone back too.

They were up on the Dancing On Ice website last year, so hopefully they'll update it soon.

The correct winners imo but Gary did very well.

Well done Hayley and Dan!

they need to up the Talent next year.

This year from the start Haley was right out in front the way some of them Skated onto the Ice Earlier..just shows how bad a lot of them were/are.

Well my favourite won - deservedly and finally proved to the doubters that she did have public support - hope their humble pie is tasty.

I was gutted for Kieron and would have been just as disappointed for Gary had he not made the final 2; moreover I did find Gary and Maria's Bolero equally as captivating as Hayley and Dan's, but again it came down to performance. Gary improved immensely but not quite enough.

Hayley has delivered week in and week out throughout the series and did it again tonight: and congratulations to Dan - this time he skated with a partner who deserved to win.

There's a few sour grapes being tossed around - but that was only to be expected.

Three things I'd like to say

1) Hayley thoroughly deserved to win, got the only full house of 6's in the series and has been amazing since Day 1

2)Torvill and Dean's routine at the beginning was amazing! The best thing I've ever seen them do.

3) Jason Gardiner, totally out of order for his remarks about Gary Lucy's daughter. There's a fine line between constructive critiscm and insults, he didn't just step over the line, he leaped over it!!!!

Jasons comments about garys daughter only echoed what many were thinking.

Agree with all 3 points. Especially the one about Jason Gardener. What a sour person he is saying that with the 'kid' in question right there supporting her dad, as any little girl would.

Just goes to prove what a sad and cynical nation we are if that's the case.

To say it in the child's presence was bad form. Shame on him!

I thought Gary's Bolero was better than hayley's but neither came anywhere near that of Ray Quinn last year. Hayley for sheer consistency won this series though secretly I was hoping Kieron would nab it

I'm delighted Hayley won, she was best from week 1 and deservedly got top marks every week but one (when Danniella did). Actually I'd have loved Danniella to have been in the final with Hayley as I'd like to have seen her skate Bolero.

I felt sorry for Kieron; I think he was better than Gary and was probably the most improved contestant overall.

Oh well, all over for another year.
Retrospective

Hayley and Dan deserved to win. Hayley was the best by far on the flying routine they did. I can't say though in general that iw as very struck on the flying thing though. I didn't even enjoy Jayne and Chris flying either. Its not my idea of skating flying through the air and felt it more like something you would see in a circus.
Though I enjoyed Hayley and Dan I felt the programme was way too long and drawn out. When it was getting closer to the end I had had enough and waiting for Phillip Scofield to read out who had won well I was nearly losing the will to live I'm afraid.

Quite agree really time they got rid of the nasty little man, who has trouble finding positive comments! His comment regarding Gary's daughter was down right rude; especially with her and her mum in the audience, Gary must be have been spitting feathers - not that he showed it for one minute! He is a gentleman unlike Jason!
