Region Hacking on DVD-ROM
A bit contraversial I know but perfectly legal as far as I know.
I have a Pioneer 16x Slot loading DVD drive s/n DVD-A05SZ. I have found a crack for the drive but i'm nervous of actually using it Has anyone succesfully cracked this drive or any other for that matter? How did it go? I feel this is the only solution so I can by R1 discs that are cheaper, have more features and come out months b4 over here.

i have applied firmware to both mine and a friends drives succesfully, the only danger really is if your pc had a power cut during the flashing procedure, and even if this happens it is normally possible to apply the firmware again
