Not as Excited About The Final As Previous Years

Am I alone in not being as excited about this year's final as previous years?

In the semi final last week I was underwhelmed by the standard & I feel that overall this is the weakest standard since Series 1. The thing is back then we had nothing to compare it with so it still felt exciting.

Also, I don't really have anyone I'm supporting that much this year. I prefer Kieron of the 3 finalists but am not feeling too worked up either way. In previous years I was always backing someone quite strongly such as Stefan, Kyran & Donal. In series 3 I had been supporting Chris going into the final but I was so blown away by Suzanne's performance to Music that I ended up switching my vote to her.

I have already decided that I'm not watching the pointless flying and feel I'm only watching the rest out of habit.

Roll on the tour - that I am looking forward to.

I know what you mean about not being excited about the final because although I really like Gary and Kieron and would love either of them to win, I really feel it is a one-horse race as Hayley is so professional and never puts a foot wrong!

My brother-in-law hopes she'll get tangled up in the wires tonight to wipe the 'I'm gonna win grin' from her face!!!!!

Doesn't help we have probably have another runaway winner this year who has got no-one challenging them

Would have preffered a more open competition this year but yet again it has been skewed in a certain person's favour making the competition basically a one horse race

A more open competition would have been exciting but it's not over yet.

As for Hayley she performed to her potential - why should she do differently and why, whenever someone performs well is it perceived that the result is skewed?

Chris was favourite to win throughout series 3 - yet when Suzanne took it up a gear in the final cries of "fix" could be heard everywhere.

Some people hate winners.

I'm quite excited - mainly because I think 2nd/3rd is the closest its ever been.

I mean we could even be in foir a shock at the top a la Chris/ Suzanne.

Kieron to Win

Last year I liked Ray, I really liked Jessica and I really really liked Donal.

This year, I haven't warmed much to any of the finalists. Hayley & Dan are the most pleasurable to watch but I don't feel as passionately about them as I have previous couples.

So not overly excited about the final, although I don't believe the outcome is as predictable as a lot of people seem to think.

i'm not excited in the slightest - i'm looking forward to seeing hayley but as for the other two, neither are remarkable skaters and in previous years would've been voted off in earlier rounds.

the talent hasn't been there this year.

Agreed although it's done to the fact that none of my favourites are in the final and I don't really care.

Tbh I'm more excited about seeing the voting figures and the eliminated contestants returning.

I'm not excited either. I think it's kinda obvious what is going to happen tonight. Unless Hayley has a crap night of course.

I'm more interested in seeing some of the others return and of course seeing Fred on our screens again

Totally agree. Its because Hayley has so obviously won.
If Danniella had made it instead of her, I would've been quite excited.

I didn't even watch the semi last week,it's not the same when favourites go out.Looking forward to seeing them back tonight .The final hasn't really got the magic of other years.

Its a one horse race because 4 potentially good males didn't make it into a proper race. Difficult to see how they fix that as its partly lack of ability that probably wasn't predictable and partly lack of imagination and proper training.

Daniella was the only competition left unfortunately and now she's gone it's not too difficult to predict who will win

If Hayley, as expected, gets two perfect scores before the Bolero they may as well forget the Bolero altogether and crown Hayley the winner

Hard to see where the 6's for Gary and Kieron are going to come from, they will have to do something pretty special

Was she though?

She had one blinding week but other than that she's been no better than the two guys and no more popular given she was in 3 skate-offs.

I'll watch out of habit, but I think it's been the worst series, partly because the standard has been lower and partly because it's all getting a bit samey.
If there's another series they need to make som major changes to keep up interest.
I'm not even that excited about the tour either, although I'm taking my mum for her birthday treat.

Regardless of whether she gets full marks - isn`t it still down to the public voting tonight?

No - imo she was only safe the week before because she was top of the leaderboard.

You're not alone OP, I have watched this series but it's been nowhere near as enjoyable as previous series.

It's all just a bit 'meh'.

Totally.

TBH I dont care who wins tonight this series IMO has been the weakest of them all.
I do think though Haley wont win its going to be out of the 2 guys.

I always got excited when Danniella came on to the ice but these guys are just bland.

I've found this year a bit dull too. Hayley's looked like the winner since week one but I just can't take to the girl so I'm not that interested in the final. I've only watched Keiron's performances tonight.
