I don't what is wrong with some people here, this season has been amazing, got a tad boring in parts thanks to the GBP sympathy voting.

The sympathy vote has been nothing like as bad as previous years - Coleen got to the semis FFS. But overall I certainly don't think this series has been amazing.

This series has been poor in my eyes really, it hasn't been much watch TV at all (Maybe down to the 'celebritys' on it this year?). Doubt i'll watch next year unless they change the format somehow (Not sure how though) :/

I missed Daniella after she went out last week. My interest in tonight's show wasn't very great like what it had been in previous years either. Though I thought Hayley and dan skated superbly and deserved to win.
My favourite year was when Dan partner to Gaynor. That was my favourite year of Dancing on Ice.

I'm not even that excited about the tour either, although I'm taking my mum for her birthday treat.”

thats exactly what i said! its not been of the standard as previois years.
i really wanted keiron to win- he deserved it. we had a power cut so i can only judge on the flying bollox.. but how could anyone say he wasnt the best at that? hayley looked like a carthorse and gary nearly fell on his head

In the semi final last week I was underwhelmed by the standard & I feel that overall this is the weakest standard since Series 1. The thing is back then we had nothing to compare it with so it still felt exciting.

Also, I don't really have anyone I'm supporting that much this year. I prefer Kieron of the 3 finalists but am not feeling too worked up either way. In previous years I was always backing someone quite strongly such as Stefan, Kyran & Donal. In series 3 I had been supporting Chris going into the final but I was so blown away by Suzanne's performance to Music that I ended up switching my vote to her.

I have already decided that I'm not watching the pointless flying and feel I'm only watching the rest out of habit.

Roll on the tour - that I am looking forward to.”

know exactly what you mean - I watched the final last night, and don't get me wrong I enjoyed it, but I was a bit 'meh' about who got to do the Bolero and who won overall when Phillip was announcing the results, whereas in previous years I had a bellyfull of butterflies. I think this is down to me not particularly supporting anyone this year ( I had a bit of allegiance to Sharron but this is mainly due to my need to ogle Pav )

Also, I think there was a bit of overkill on the praise for Hayley from the judges (in the final). I like Hayley a lot - imo the right person won and she's been a phenomenal contestant throughout this series, but when she did her Jai Ho routine for the second time I don't think she performed it as well as the first time (messed up the spin and just didn't seem as 'tight' as film week), yet she got another string of sixes and all the judges were saying how much better it was this time round... I was sitting there thinking "wow... really?". And I think Gary and Keiron were undermarked too, especially Gary for his favourite routine.

Anyhee, just my tuppence worth As you say, roll on the tour! Even if I am traumatised by the absence of Pav!

How come that we always think the same thing, it's rather spooky. I also was surprised that they said Hayley was better this time (don't get me wrong IMO it deserved all 6's but I couldn't see an improvement per se).

Gary was definitely undermarked for his performance, I thought it should be more 26 to 27. I thoroughly enjoyed Kieron's favourite routine, but I'm biased so I don't know if he was undermarked.

I'm starting to believe you're my long lost twin, separated at birth yet sharing a psychic connection! Yeah I think the lads, Keiron in particular, have been marked really harshly this year. There have been weeks (especially the props week) when I've thought 'surely that routine warrants at least 5's or a 5.5's across the panel' and yet he's only come out with 4's and 4.5s. It's frustrating, it's like they picked the ones who they expected to do well and poo-pooed the rest regardless of performance - behaviour I've come to expect from Gardiner but certainly not the level headed Robin and Karen.

For the first time ever I didn't watch the final. Last year I was so excited about Ray winning I hardly slept afterwards! This year I couldn't even be bothered to watch. Far too predictable result and I hate the flying, and the bolero needs to go, its run its course. Cant see me being that interested next year unless the format is changed.

There will never be a DOI 3 again........ I think that is the reason full stop. It will never be topped... Chris -v-Suzanne...DOI at it's absolute best.

I thought the final was by far the least entertaining there's been. There was just no proper competition for Hayley and Dan. I really liked Kieron but he wasn't that good on the night.

I'd have liked a Hayley/Danniella/Mikey final.

'Hayley looked like a carthorse' and she still beat Kieron, says a lot about Kieron then doesn't it.

Oh and where are the posters who constantly complain that my posts are nasty yet they let the one I've quoted pass. Then I am not surprised.
