Chris and Jayne's "new Bolero"
Did anyone else enjoy Chris and Jayne's 'new' Bolero as much as I did a few minutes ago? It must have taken them AGES to get it right and a lot of dizziness too!! I loved it!!

It would've been even better if they'd kept the camera on them rather than keep cutting to the orchestra!

I've seen them skate to Bolero live many times and it always was entrancing. I've not really liked any of the more modern versions until tonight. Bolero with silks was lovely. I really like the fact it is a story of such a desire to be together but they skated most of the first half physically apart and yet still managed to make it very cohesive and magical - loved it

i thought it had none of the essence of the origina; it might aswell have been done to any song there was nothing bolero about it |

I thought it was interesting but my parents said they thought it was tacky and gimmicky.

I thought this might be a thread about how disappointed people were, that it was just a flying version. I'm amazed that people liked it, especially if they don't normally like the flying.
I was certainly disappointed after the buildup to see it was just some flying  tacked on to some ice dancing of the sort we've seen many times from them before. Looks like a lot of the complaints about the flying aren't really about the flying at all, but only about the sorts of flying routines we get from the celebs. |

It was beautifully performed, no doubt about it.
But I want to watch them skating not swinging.
