Worst finalist ever.”

I really didn't see things that way at all. I think to call Gary a bad loser is seeing what you want to see. I supported Keiron all the way through but to me Gary was always Mr Nice Guy who I would find it very hard to dislike. I didn't see even a flicker of of him being a bad loser.

Then wouldn't it be nicer for you to rejoice in Hayley's success and not start an unnecessary thread about a four year old girl who has done nothing other than support her daddy.

I thought Gary was a lovely guy not my fave (Kieron) but I'm glad for him and his daughter he did well. He looked disappointed but so did all the others who were voted off, that would be a normal reaction imo. Well done to Gary for doing so well and he did do a good final.

I'm really surprised about all the vitrol against Gary. I didn't support him, in fact I would have prefered Kieron in the final two, but so is life. I thought he was very polite, he clearly deserved to be there, and he wasn't a bad loser at all. Quite the contrary, he seemed delighted to have made the final two. It's lovely to see a loving relationship between a daddy and his kid. I hope he will get work on the back of DOI.

I agree that Gary seemed just a nice normal guy, who was enjoying the show, lost to Hayley with good grace, and showed a normal pride in his daughter. I can understand people sayng that they found his performances a little dull, but really can't understand the vitriol.

I can't understand it either. And I was a Hayley supporter.

I just hope Gary and his lovely family dont read this, or any of the other threads, that have been bashing him constantly for being either dull, which he is not, or a doting dad which he clearly is! Equally he was very gracious in defeat and congratulated Hayley as soon as he could!
He also thanked Jayne and gave her his flowers!

Well done Gary and Maria I thought you were both great!
