Audio problem with AV2HDR
I am running a trial of VideoReDo TV Suite v4 (build 598) as I would like to be able to edit BBC HD programmes recorded with DVBViewer/AC3 Filter, and then convert the files using AV2HDR (http://www.hummy.org.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=6791) so that they will run on my Foxsat HDR.
The source and the saved VRD files are both in .TS format and both play as expected. However although AV2HDR successfully processes source files, the edited files come out without any audio: the AV2HDR Source Video Information box shows the Video and Audio Menu IDs as (0x1), rather than 6940 (0x1B1c) for source files. One solution seems to be demux and remux the stream using ProjectX and tsMuxer before AV2HDR processing, but this is an added complication and results in lip synch issues. Grateful for any suggestions re a simpler work around. |

Does the source file have more than 1 audio track and does AV2HDR generate a select audio stream option when you load the file ?

Thanks for the reply.
My test source file is a MPEG-TS file containing Dolby 5.1 audio. When I run it through AV2HDR the Source Video Information Window shows two audio streams: 5501 and 5502. When I run the VideoReDo edit .TS file however, only the 5501 stream appears in the window. Comparing the two windows, the only differences are that with the VRD edited version: - the Video and Audio IDs are shown as 1 (0x1) rather than 6940 (0 x 1B1C), - there is no video delay information - there is no Audio #2 information ( but I have no need for the NAR audio). When saving a file, VideoReDo shows the following in Advanced Options: - Output PAT and PMT packets (PAT/PMT Interval: 100 msec. AC3 PMT: Same as source) - Use PIDs from source file (greyed out: program Map PID 256, Video PID 4096, - Audio stream 1 PID 4097) - Omit null packets - Output mux rate (ATSC – 19.2 Mbps) Do I perhaps need to change these settings? |
