On top of which, it's a good deal easier for Londoners (or southerners) to take part in a show which is filmed in London every week than it is for the rest of the Country. Just look at the trouble they had getting Ricky Whittle onto Claudia's show each week.

p.s. we Northerners are tough, we always fight back ”

We eat nails for breakfast and drink irn bru.

You can't be tough if you're not prepared to travel ... and you call us softies

How many southerners know owt about north of Watford Gap?

Some of 'em think we all wear cloth caps and keep pigeons in t'loft; of course some do - just to conform to the stereotype - it makes a easy bob or two when entertaining the southern softies.

Gotta go - I need a wee and the lavvy's out in t'back yard. Weather forecast is snow in the NW - freeze the balls off a brass monkey - and me mam's screaming that supper's ready. Tripe 'n onions followed by spotted dick and custard - the left overs will feed t'whippet before he tackles the first race at Belle Vue.
