Can't see a thread on this, but if you don't want to see the new TARDIS interior, look away now!

Edited to link to the blog not the photo, with apologies and thanks to Gareth Bundy

Looks as if a madman got loose with two colours of paint in there!

Perfect!

Me too... have to see how it looks on-screen, but it's not so different as to be a disconnect with the previous version but it's a bit fresher. Not so sure about the colour, though...

The new Tardis inside looks okay. Not awful, but not great either.

My Son is really excited - he is six and dotes on the Tardis like a mad thing - demanding to see all of the interiors over the years and even all the fan designs.

Though he obviously likes CE/DT version because he has the playset, he is most impressed with this new one. ( He also likes Peter Davison's "spruced up" version.)

We can't wait!

New Radio Times promises a lot more photos, by the way.

I was obsessed by the Tardis when I was 6 too. I had a Tardis playtent. I was gutted that it was exactly the expected size inside

I can't see it, it says I don't have permission to view this private page. Can anybody host it anywhere else?

Here you go! The owner probably got a bit annoyed about people linking straight to the pic...

Much thanks, !!11oneone

What a wonderfully prophetic screen name you happened to pick back in 2005!

Thankyou!

As for the Tardis, I still don't think it's as good as in the tv-movie but it's an enormous step forward beyond the last one.

I'm not going to judge it based on one low-res photo of a magazine cover with lots of reflections on it, but the movie did leave big shoes to fill.

Edited to add: Here's a smaller, but clearer version of the cover, from the RT website:

Thanks for that clearer image - I'm really getting quite excited about staurday night now all this info is starting to flood in.

I should have qualified my statement a little, and said "On the basis of that image, I still don't think..." at the beginning of my post. There is of course more to it, and that there's going to be greater amounts of detail to revealed when the series starts.

I think the movie's TARDIS might be inappropriate for 11 though. It's a bit old-mannish, and despite the way 11 dresses, he's still a young Doctor. I loved in the SFX interview on his wardrobe how Piers Wenger said, "I think he’s definitely a Doctor who thinks he’s cool but nobody else does"

That's a strong Six quality then.

Yeah, you're probably right. And in that picture the new tardis still looks miles better than the last one.

I've not heard that Wenger quote before, sounds ace!

I was so tired of that TARDIS that I'd have gladly tackled any firefighter who tried to keep it from going up in flames during Journey's End or End of Time!

The only concern I really have is that I think the colour may prove to be a bit overwhelming. But they can adjust that without doing a major redesign.

The quote is in this article:

http://www.sfx.co.uk/2010/03/28/doct...e-new-costume/

There's another interview about his costume in Gay Times, that isn't online. But it reveals that Matt has a 34-inch waist, footballer's legs despite seeming so slim, and has a rainbow of different-coloured briefs from American Apparel.

So if you've ever wondered what the Doctor looks like in his pants, and don't want to wait for episode 11 (which shows a lot of Doctor flesh),

Maybe it could pulsate or change like a mood ring!

It's not red in the clips we've seen in the trailers so either it doesn't show up as Red as that on screen or the colour varies a bit.
