Watched this on Saturday and mentioned to my OH that all the girls seemed to have perfect teeth and lovely hair.
So why cake them in make-up?

They are auditioning to play a young teenage farm girl, don't know if ALW is going to keep the story set in the 1930s, so why not let us see what they would look like "fresh faced".

Clearly a touch of makeup and a little help with the odd spot, but am I the only one who found the gingham dresses, ankle socks and hooker make up just a tad incongruous?

I doubt in the theatre show they're going to skimp on the make up. Everything is perfected and if a character is a farm girl she's going to look like a very well made up farm girl.

Yeah, I thought too aswell that there was an awful lot of make-up of some of the girls at the earlier stages.

The high heels didn't really go with the ankle socks and little girl dresses either!

It's OK for the stage but it is definitely a detractor on the show.

Watching back the thing that jumps out with me is actually the amount of pins out on show. I remember a lot of discussion on Samantha last year with a lot of the outfits she was put in. Seems like a recurring theme - legs legs and some more legs.
