Professor Green feat Ed Drewett - I Need You Tonight
Chipmunk feat Esmee Denters - Until You Were Gone
Diana Vickers – Once
Iyaz – Solo
Adam Lambert – For Your Entertainment
Lady Antebellum – Need You Now
Roll Deep – Good Times
Kelis – Acapella
B.O.B. feat Bruno Mars – Nothing On You
Ellie Goulding – Guns & Horses
Lady Gaga – Alejandro
Nadine Coyle – tba

Any song could be a potential number one.

I'd say Christina is the only surefire #1. Cascada have been out on the music channels for weeks seemingly, Diana and Chipmunk/Esmee will be head to head so I can't call that one, Kate is out on a dead week but the song itself is awful, imo. Probably top ten, though. Do the UK know enough about Adam Lambert to get him into the top ten, never mind #1? Iyaz just screams one hit wonder to me. GaGa has sold tons of copies of her album and Alejandro will be the 3rd single so I can't see another #1. Definately top ten, though.

I mean, the #1's are hard to predict this year. Tinie Tempah came from out of nowhere and held off Rihanna, Scouting For Girls are #1 on iTunes, Fireflies was #1 for three weeks before it's release etc

Kate Nash – Do Wah Doo

Nadine Coyle – tba

Christina Aguilera deserves a #1 for her comeback.

Cascada is sure of a #1 as she has huge club hits that will appeal to the people who contribute to the charts.

Lady GaGa of course as she has a fantastic hit in Alejandro. I hope Alejandro gets a couple of weeks at #1

GaGa has at least two more possible number ones this year Alejandro and Speechless which should also get released, Diana Vickers will get a number one, doing very well on pre-orders

Christina Aguilera's Not Myself Tonight should get to #1 for sure, it sounds so different and amazing, cannot wait until it premiers tomorrow at 11pm! gonna be a smash and summer anthem along with the album Bionic!

i also love Kelis' new song Acapella, it sounds so surreal and beautiful yet deep and electronic, this is gonna be a hit in the near future for sure!

as much as i love Alejandro i don't think it will reach the summit :/ but it will be a top 3 hit for sure like Paparazzi was!

I doubt Alejandro will go to #1, the album has sold bucketloads now!

I think:

Scouting For Girls - This Anit A Love Song - for 2 weeks
Mika - "Kiss A*s" - for 1 week
Diana Vickers - "Once" - for 3 weeks
Estelle - "Freak" - for 2 weeks
Rihanna ft Will.I.Am - for 1 week*

*apparently next release if so its a very weak single choice shudda picked "Fire Bomb" or "Te Amo".

I fail to see how that scouting for girls song is gonna be number 1. Not trashing them because it's an alright song but number it really isn't

I would like to see Diana be number 1 but i doubt. It will chart realtively high and sell well my guess is.

Kelis? Maybe. I can see the song being bigger over here. The US really don't get her.

This Ain't A Love Song is number 1 in the midweek chart.

I think Chipmunk and Esmee will go to number 1, its very catchy.

I like 'Alejandro' but I prefer 'Dance In The Dark', its too amazing not to be released.

Alejandro - Lady GaGa
Not Myself Tonight - Christina Aguilera (this song needs to grow on me. But hype will help for it to get to number1)

I agree with this. Its XTINA back not Christina and it is XTINA that always got the number 1's.

GaGa won't be number 1 with Alejandro mainly because it is the last release off a big selling album and unless the video is epic on Telephone scale it would not match it in terms of sales but she should get a top 10 position with it.

I do hope Lady GaGa's Alejandro goes to number 1 but i dont really think it will just because it will be her 5th number which means she will be very lucky to do that.

Christina's new song isnt that great not for a first single, she could of done with something a bit more unique sounding for her return.

I think this weeks, and indeed every weeks No1, will likely be:

- A song using auto tune

- Something really middle of the road, i.e: boring, unoriginal and safe, such as a ballad

- A song that would be middle of the road and boring, but thanks to the use of auto tune, passes for annoying instead

- Something ‘featuring’ someone else, usually a rapper who adds very little to the song other than image

- A remix of an 80's song done in a hip hop style, i.e: badly

- A song that attempts to sound like something from the 80's, except instead sounds annoyingly contrived

- A song with mildly controversial, or purposely infantile lyrics in an attempt to get some cheap publicity

- An artist or band representing the lowest common denominator in each of their perspective genres

- Generally anything employing a style over substance or image and marketability over talent philosophy
