Corrie, favourite by a mile.
Emmerdale - fine for watching while having my dinner, but not that bothered if I miss it.
Eastenders - only watched the last few episodes fully as I've spent a fair amount of time critising it lately, and wanted to see if I felt my comments were fair - which I do.

Eastenders is the only soap I enjoy.

Emmerdale I've watched about twice and had trouble understanding what some of the characters were saying.

Corrie I have tried over and over again to get into but just cant. I just find the whole so called comedy aspect a complete farce. I just find it a very silly programme.

I only watch Corrie and Family Affairs, the latter has improved very much over the past 8 months.

i stopped watching EE, 2 years ago and haven't seen it since

I only watch Emmerdale, if something big is going on, the last one i watched was the storm at xmas!

that's the point innit, that it's a bit of a farce. Some people just don't have a sense of humour

Totally agree with you about Family Affairs. I'd stopped watching it when they cancelled the Sunday Omnibus (perfect hanfover tv) but got into it again during the cancer storyline.

I never thought I'd see the day that I'm enjoying FA's more than EE's.

Just read this on the BBC boards: Next week there's a misprint on Cat's wedding invitations - they say 'Cat and Dog's wedding'.

Cat's reaction should be fab.

Got to be Corrie - wins hands down for me - cracking story lines, mixed with great humor - can't beat it.

In fact, its the only soap I watch now and I havn' t watched EE for about 10 years!!

They are all as good as each other at doing certain things so I would say it is too difficult to choose between them

LOL! Yep Corrie for me by far! Hate to miss it and would record it if I couldn't watch. Emmerdale, I catch up on it a couple of times a week, not addicted though and don't mind if I miss it. Haven't watched Eastenders for a couple of years now, can't seem to care about it anymore.

With Brookside gone I guess I'd have to say Home and Away overall, and EastEnders of the English soaps. I also watch Coronation St and Emmerdale now, but as recently as 2000 I watched about 7.
