Definetly Corrie - EastEnders seems to be a bit strange and over the place at the moment. Almost a year ago i sat down with my mum and watched some Corrie and some Eastenders and Corrie stuck with me.... i'm not even gonna start on Emmerdale... i've never tried to watch it, i catch the end sometimes before corrie lol but all my life i think i've had the impression no one watched emmerdale...

Personally, my favourites seem to change every two years or so. EastEnders was my favourite for a long time but now Corrie has taken the prize, an has gone off drinking champagne lol Corrie have great storylines at the moment with some good humour thrown in. EastEnders has gotten very repetitive lately and you always get the feeling you've seen this storyline before. Hopefully though it gets its act together soon.

Corrie's my FAVOURITE (note proper spelling! )

I've seen Emmerdale a few times, seems to be a bit of a pantomime and "blink and you'll miss it" show.

Then there's the lowly Eastenders. How the mighty has fallen eh? I have to say, I've never really enjoyed the programme (or watched it much over the last ten years), but it seems to be a case of The Emperor's New Clothes, if you catch my drift. All the pseudo-gangster stuff, and over-the-top dramatics really is yawn-worthy. From what I read about it lately, it needs a good shake-up, and fast.

1. EastEnders - Always been the one for me, always will be. Specially with Dennis and Den

2. Corrie - Everynow and again, so I know whats going on. But it just is boring and isnt very gripping.

So cos I dont find the silly, obvious humour of Corrie funny that means I've got nol sense of humour? Amazing you can make that decision about someone purely on a one line comment.

I actually like my humour subtle and dark. Humour is a very subjective matter. I mean, some people find Carry On films funny. I'd rather have my teeth pulled.

Funny you should say that, LL... I rarely watch Emmerdale, but I've seen a couple of eps lately and I thought there was something really strange about his voice. It sounds like he's trying to imitate some film actor (but that's where my memory lets me down because I can't think which one!)

As for favourite soap, there's only one contender.... Coronation Street of course! I don't watch enough of the others to give them a chart position.

that explains it then, I find Carry On films hilarious , ever seen the one about Big Dick Turpin ?, mind with a name like yours it can't be up your street .
I also like subtle and dark humour though.
Anyway my bad i should have said you only have half a sense of humour.
but when you say regarding Corrie something like "the so called comedy aspect" you do sound like you mean to say it isn't funny because YOU don't find it funny.

Actually theres a lot of humour in EEs but a lot of people seem to miss it. Theres a lot of back handed comments and just one liners.
As I said, I like my comedy subtle and the EE's scriptwriters make sure theres a lot of un obvious humour in there.
I find it funnier that a lot of the humour of EE's goes over a lot of peoples heads whereas in others shows its so in your face thats there might as well be pop ups on the screen saying 'look joke coming'

Anyway, each to their own but I dont like the way if you disagree with people, you're told you're wrong.

There is nothing wrong with River City! Well, there isn't if you ignore the bad accents and bad acting but they do have some believable storylines.

I've never watched River City, but I like Dream Team. I'd rather watch that than Emmerdale anyday.

Emmerdale, both Corrie and EE have dreary plots centred around horrible characters. No-one ever does anything nice for anyone else and there are no sheep.
