I can't believe people are calling Corrie a farce! Since when has real life ever been anything like EE, where everyone's dull and find Cat Slater attractive (the pollution down there must do something to their eyes! And brains come to think about it (by that I mean Shane Richie. I think!))!

I have to confess to being one of River City's latest converts.
It's hilarious & I agree with Patti it has covered some good storylines once you learn to see past the crap acting from most of them.

A lot of people probably do hear the back handed comments and one liners, but just don't find them funny. Because some people don't find Eastenders amusing, it doesn't mean to say that they are missing the supposed humour. Like others have mentioned, what one person finds funny another person doesn't but that doesn't mean that one of them is more intelligent than the other.

Its the only one that doesn't go 'over the top' with storylines to try and boost ratings. The storylines are actually beleivable!!!

Eastenders has lost its way badly, although it often gets saved by Janine's antics... not for much longer though.

Corrie is my favourite at the moment too, no contest. But having seen it last night I have to ask what are your favourite characters / actors at the moment in any of the soaps?
Last night I fell totally in love with Chesney Browne. How could you not? He played a blinder. He has also mad Les a much nicer character to look at.
Also in Corrie Norris Cole is very funny. Karen McDonald is also a great asset to the show.
In EE Janine is the best by a long shot. She is a hateful horrible person but that just goes to show what a good job Charlie Brooks has done with her character.
In Emmerdale I think the Dingles as a group are just so funny, a while ago that thing they did with Scott, making him think he was balanced on the edge of a cliff. It was the best.

Yeh Corrie is my fave by a mile off at the moment, Emmerdale would be my 2nd choice and EastEnders for the first time ever with me, is at the bottom of the pile at the moment. In Corrie my fave characters are Todd and Karl, this has been one of the most interesting storylines Corrie have done. For a soap such as Corrie, to think where it came from and how dated it was for a while, when they've done high profile storylines i.e. Toyah's rape, Todd's sexuality confusion, they do them brilliantly. And they always seem to balance the drama with some humour aswell. Other favourites are Blanche, Norris and I think Karen and Steve are a good on screen duo. Although I do admit I like Toxic Barlow aswell lol
In Emmerdale it's the Dingles for me too, they're a bunch of nutters and I thought Shadrach especially last night was hilarious.
EastEnders, I still watch it in hope it regains some of its past glory. The only character that sticks out for me in EastEnders at the moment is Janine, she is so vile and twisted, she's the only character in EE at the moment that invokes any kind of reaction. The rest are dull and boring, I especially hate Den and Alfie. Kat was great but she hasn't been given much to do, although Andy may sort that out soon from what I hear
And the Ferreiras, talk about trying to flog a dead donkey. They still waste time an energy on them whilst everyone hates them, they're rubbish. Kelly is good and I was disappointed they let her go. The rest of them after that should be axed staring with Pauline. If they could axe Pippa in Home and Away, sure they can axe Pauline Fowler and give her gaf to a younger family with kids and a Mam AND a Dad. Not just one of either.
the only soap i EVER watched was EE, but iv watched corrie over the last month or 2 and its much better!
