Thanks Alienpanda, but I think "Woo!" may be a bit optimistic. I'll set the Skyplus and will be over the moon if the series is anything other than a bunch of arse.

Yeah fantastic.... a Sarah-Jane-style series with a totally redesigned K9, who now has emotions (!!!)!!!... and an obligatory American so they can sell it overseas.

It looks like cak.

(Happy for Leeson though - had be been recast it would have been disgusting)

I'd be interested to hear K9's new voice.

Will give the series a go. A shame that everyone seems to be feeling a bit negative towards it (myself included).

Remember the last K9 spin off, it's not a good omen?

I'm definitely going to try it out.
Not sure if it will live up to its parent show, but still looks good.

Same voice as always. He's still played by John Leeson.

Thanks for the heads up. Pity I don't have that channel - but I'm sure it'll turn up on Youtube (the BBC can't cease and desist this one like the other Who franchise shows!)

The new K9 has a new voice, still performed by the great Mr Leeson.

Is it technically a new voice though? He sounds the same, except with pointless human humour/sarcasm rather than robotic humour/sarcasm.

Dunno. Haven't heard it yet.

I saw Mr Leeson at a convention a few months back, and he said the new K9 has a new voice.

I don't know if there's a different accent, a different pitch, a different sarcasm-level or anything. Will find out tomorrow, I daresay ...

In the clip I've seen on youtube, it sounds pretty much the same to me. A bit more inflection, but less difference than there is between Nick Briggs' various Dalek voices.
The whole 1st episode is up there, I just discovered

Actually several Australians and a Canadian. Leeson seems to be the only Brit in the cast.

Saw the pilot for this back in October and to be fair it wasn't a bad start.

K-9's appearance is a little strange but I'm sure if the series is good and with continued viewing people will get used to it..

Looking forward to Saturday for two reasons .......

This is showing as I type. (Am Skyplussing to watch when loins are suitable girded). Anyone bothering?

I don't have a TV, but since all I'm doing right now is assembling some furniture I'd probably have it on as background noise if I did. Tvguide.co.uk saves me for Freeview channels. But don't worry! We have a licence.
