Looks like there were fewer people watching TV yesterday, which dented the likes of Over The Rainbow and Britain's Got Talent. OTR's share was even higher than last week's, and BGT's only marginally down (by 0.3%). The next two weeks might be tricky for BGT, what with the Sunday show which will rate unpredictably and the following week going up against Eurovision which traditionally dents it. So far, the auditions are down 7% year-on-year.
The FA Cup Final rated better than last year but the share is low. The broadcast really should be grabbing an average of 40% of viewers or more. YBF! and TW19Y were solid in early peaktime - at one stage, YBF! was only 0.8m behind Doctor Who. If there's one positive for The Prisoner's rating, it's that for the first time this series it didn't drop any viewers from the previous week! Otherwise, absolutely awful.
Doctor Who flat vs. last week which is quite good, even though it started at a later time, because of fewer people watching TV. Solid figures for the rest of BBC1's lineup.
