As ITV have moved back half an hour. But safer scheduling like this doesn't seem to interest the BBC.

So just a 25 minute clash. It could be a lot worse for Dorothy. However, the results show remains at 18:15, where it will flounder. It also means that Countryfile and Survival will be head to head, which is ridiculous.

Recommissioning Waterloo Road so far in advance is a risk. There are major cast changes at the end of this series with long running favourites leaving, so in 30 episodes time when the just commissioned series starts, the show and it's ratings could be very different.

I'm surprised Sky agreed to that.

I think Total Wipeout can only start at 5.15pm at earliest due to Final Score.

They are certainly trying to cram too much in.

Only tens mins overlap between Doctor Who and Britain's Got Talent.

I thought it had been agreed beforehand that they would all make their debates available to other broadcasters.

I think the only difference is ITV won't make their transmission available to other broadcasters until after it's been aired (but will make it available simultaneously online and to radio), but the BBC and Sky will make it available simultaneously to everyone.

Just realised it's not possible for Five to simulcast the Sky News debate due to Europa League football taking place that night.

I will try to find out if they are taking the election night programme. Sky might as well offer it as it will only be in HD via Sky.

Election night programme starts 2100 presented by Adam Boulton in the studio.
Kay Burley will be on location with Gordon Brown.
Jeremy Thompson will be on location with David Cameron.
Anna Botting will be on location with Nick Clegg.

Sunrise will be presented on location by Eamonn Holmes for each of the leaders' debates.

Jeremy Thompson will present Debate Day from 10am to 5pm and then Live at Five on location on April 22nd for Sky's debate.

Still no confirmed date for Sky News HD, but both Sky's debate and the election night programme will be transmitted in HD.

I think most people would keep watching Doctor Who - they wont care about missing the first few minutes of Britain's Got Talent - if they even remembered it was starting.

The hardcore Dr Who fans would scream bloody murder if they moved it to Sundays permanently. (Swapping the day/time slot a lot killed the original series.) The BBC would get a load of complaints if they did that. The original RTD written pitch for the series said it has to be on Saturdays.

Well as I've said before I'm not sure the beeb care that much if DW's overnight rating is lower due to being on earlier, as that usually means better ratings for BBC3/iplayer.

Still wouldn't put it against BGT though.

Yet more stupid ludicrous/stupid BBC scheduling. Watchdog returns on Thursday 22nd April at 20:00 to 21:00, yet will either have to be shortened or moved the following week due to the final Election Debate.

Not the best night for CBS. NCIS is down just slightly from the same night last year but NCIS:LA is 19% lower than The Mentalist in that slot last year and The Good Wife is 11% below what Without A Trace had. For a Tuesday night of original programming, it was CBS' worst night of the season with all its shows at season lows.

American Idol was 18% down from last year to its lowest Tuesday rating of this series. 7 of the last 8 Tuesday episodes have declined from the previous week. For the second week in a row, Idol will lose to Dancing With The Stars in total viewers. DWTS Monday show had 21.2m.

Next week, Idol is reduced to 88 minutes as FOX extends its primetime hours to run Glee at 9.28pm. From that point onwards, Idol will be 60 minutes with Glee running from 9-10pm. FOX have promoted its return heavily, including an Oprah appearance from the cast.

Parenthood was one of the few shows to improve from last week. To beat CBS and ABC in that hour is quite a boost for NBC and Parenthood is holding a good amount of its lead-in despite airing at 10pm (when it's really an 8/9pm show).

Everything on ABC was at season or all time lows. The DWTS results are particularly low, finishing last in the 8pm hour among adults 18-49. V continues its decline, much further and it won't be back next year.

Well given they did the same when it was scheduled at 6.20pm and it didn't really affect the ratings I'd take their screams with a pinch of salt. The Waters of Mars did very well there last Autumn and I think a Sunday 7.15pm slot is better than Satruday at 6.30pm for it. Ratings wise, the new series is made of much stronger stuff than the old series was.

I remember those Friday night Little and Large repeats in summer 1991. They were unusual because there hadn't been any Little and Large repeats in the few years before that, and presumably the BBC had scrapped the series for good by the time they decided to schedule the repeats?

At least it produced a candidate for one of the most bizarre BBC1 trails ever: a joint one for Little and Large and the The Paul Daniels Magic Show which saw Eddie Large singing while dressed as Tina Turner, interspersed with clips of Paul Daniels hitting coconuts with a giant hammer.

Aren't people getting a bit carried away with this "idiotic BBC schedulers" campaign?

BBC News Special yesterday on BBC1:
- averaged c. 900,000
- started off with 1 million at 09:15
- hit low of 720,000 at 11:30
- much lower than usual BBC1 line-up
