Hello all! Thread 18! We're on fire!
So it's spoiled that Christian and Syed spend the night together? I'm not sure I like the sound of that because it means that Syed will either give Amira some lie about where he really is or keep her worried all night. Unless of course he goes to visit Christian while Amira is sleeping with the purpose of telling Christian he's sorry and has every intention of coming back, only for passion to take over and he ends up staying there.
Also Marc and Johnny taking a month of?! Does that mean another blackhole? I'm hoping that tptb have filmed a few scenes to be screened in between. Though it goes without saying that both Marc and Johnny deserve the break after all the long hours they've put in.

Dorothy was a farm girl, so this weeks Dorothy Mission sees our gals them mucking out at a pig farm. Showbiz is so glamorous!
Wonder if the producers just saw those EE promo pics would keep some viewers entertained......John in dungarees mucking out the pigs....just like another days work at the vic......

Not another blackhole. I guess this is so John can spare all his time for OTR and why they have been filming constantly for weeks leading up to this. If it is true about that scene being re-shot yesterday as it was too hot please let that be another reconciliation kiss etc after Christian is beaten up and they have been apart for a while and then finally Syed gives in to him. At least if we know they are together, it will be easier to bear and we can imagine the rest!!

Seeing those pics of Syed in his lovely checked shirts made me think again. Since he has been married, his wardrobe has been decidedly dark and no light colours or checked shirts at all. So wondering if he will still be in the darker stuff when we finally see him again. It works well as it makes him look sad and depressed.

Do they put the long hours in though? Sorry I'm on a bit of a downer with them today but it's almost as if they work part-time. I know if they are in it for 4/5 weeks almost non-stop, then that is a lot of filming but if you are filming 9/10 scenes a day sometimes (as Preeya said once) then it shouldn't be that long. Just seems they seem to be out of it so much more than any of the other characters. Janine was one that disappeared for a while since the live ep but even she is back again now.

Ha i love the thought of having a "Christian" side to the wardrobe and an "Amira" side. Naturally the amira side will be the darker stuff so as to not attract to much attention from her, he must know he's irresistable in checks

I think on screen it appears they work part time but shooting in general takes hours. I remember reading interviews from past actors and they said during the time when they are filming the heavy stuff, it could be anything between 10-12 hours a day, six days a week.

Delurking in time for reveal. I've actually been lurking on here since thread 2/3 but only just managed to get registered last week. Was going to delurk last night but got distracted by the tennis (was up till after 5am watching Federer manage to lose the second match in as many weeks when he had match points
)
Like Bemma21 earlier I've been reading on here for so long i feel like i know you all.
Quick info: Long time Eastenders viewer (old enough to have watched the first episode as a kid) This is the first soap couple since Shannis that I've been obsessed with and although annoyed at times with the pacing/writing/tangents and blackholes have remained hooked throughout.
Looking forward to actually joining in the discussions from now on even if I'm no way as articulate as most of you lot.

Off I wandered into the Dr Who forum and the whole Matt Smith is/isn't good has kicked off again! Dear Lord they are mad there! They always slate a new character/Doctor before they arrive on the scene, and now there's a not very nice poster slating the fangirls Arrgghh! What is it with people at times? OK, I know this is OT but many of us here are also Dr Who fans, the show comes back this Saturday and even though I loved David Tennant as The Doctor, I will watch the new series nonetheless and just picture it as a different show altogether...sorry about the rant
