The other problem with this method is that should you switch the box to standby you need to re-activate the favourites, I don't mean reset them all but you need to press the list button (or OK button) then press the green button til you have your particular favourites list available. It is also necessary to actually select a channel from the list for the favourites to take effect. Should you just call up the list without selecting a channel the favourites won't function.

Correct no listing in the epg means no watching or recording. If I remember correctly even performing a freesat rescan it won't reinstate the channels that have been deleted. They will only return should a factory reset be carried out.
