I have a Foxsat box and wonder if there's a way of sorting the channel order in the EPG ie so that all my favourite channels appear at the top?

Setting Favourite channels is a big thing for me...
On my 9200T, I can set up a favourites list with the order in which I like to surf...
Is it really not possible to do this on the Human Foxsat PVR?

Yes, you can set up a favourites list on the Foxsat HDR (in fact, you can set up 5 of them.) But they only affect the list of channels that you flick through via channel up/down (or via the 'list' button, I guess). The favourites list is NOT reflected in the EPG, which always shows all the channels (or some completely pointless subset determined by 'Genre').
It sounds like you can remove channels you don't want from the EPG by deleting them, but then (presumably) you can't watch or record from them at all (unless/until you re-instate them by a rescan). This last paragraph is largely speculation....

The other problem with this method is that should you switch the box to standby you need to re-activate the favourites, I don't mean reset them all but you need to press the list button (or OK button) then press the green button til you have your particular favourites list available. It is also necessary to actually select a channel from the list for the favourites to take effect. Should you just call up the list without selecting a channel the favourites won't function.

Correct no listing in the epg means no watching or recording. If I remember correctly even performing a freesat rescan it won't reinstate the channels that have been deleted. They will only return should a factory reset be carried out.

Yeah, it took me and the missus a looong time to find that the other night......
I cannot imagine that 1 in a 1000 actually ever use any of the Favs facilities in the Humax..
and yet it is the first point of call for Janet on the still used and valued SKY Box ..
and you would be hard pushed to meet a less sophisticated operative then her..
which is why every room in the house can be called and the FAV15 rattled thru on the BLUE Button.
Is not that why it's called 'Favourites'..
Who in the real world would design such a monstrosity of a sub-system for a Domestic Environment?.
Who would approve it after taking it home for a run thru with the wife/partner?
Are you that ONE in a THOUSAND?? Own up Boy!

It's not specific to the Humax it's part of the Freesat spec so I guess all will be similar
