I'm a lurker, but often visit the BB forum, and I felt I just had to reply to this.

I read the ponytail thread, and I think I can understand why some folk took Federico's comments badly, but then I can see why he felt he had to answer back if he felt he was getting insulted as well.

His reply in this thread may be a tad harsh, but I'm still sat here almost in hysterics, especially at the Atomic Kitten/Peach Schnapps comment.

I did have my doubts as to whether (not 'weather' - haha! I admire your vocabulary Federico, but have you ever read Eats, Shoots and Leaves? ) or not I'd watch much of BB5, but if Jon's reporting here and Federico's reporting on it, wherever it is, is accessible to me, it'll definitely keep me watching.

Yep, cheers Emzi, great interview. And Federico, just say what you really mean won't you? There's no need for all that sycophantic backslapping you did there!

Who wrote that for you?

"Irrespective of weather I am"

.....oh....you had a hand in it - or on it.

As for the "Ex BB4" headlines - dream on.

Why are you so damn unpleasant?

Okay, I can see where people are coming from with the 'one rule for some' thing, this exact thing has been going round and round in my mind all day.

I do prefer to treat everyone the same, regardless of who they are as I do believe that for the most part that is the best way to do it but with this I've been torn.

On the forums we ask that all forum members are treated with respect but this falls apart when someone from one of the shows we are discussing joins the forum, it is not fair to ask everyone else to treat them differently to the other contestants so we make something of an exception. By the same token I feel it fair to make some exceptions when they themselves post.

Yes, a lot of the comments were and are offensive, but I don't think they were intened that way. This coupled with the fact I think Federico is trying to treat us to the 'colourful character' he was playing in the house means that I feel some flexability is okay. This is not to say that anything goes and that words haven't been said though.

As I said, it's been going through my mind most of the day and there is no perfect answer, I know people will object whatever I do so I'm just going to do my best.

Anyway, I don't want this thread to become about the rights and wrongs of not banning Federico rather than the interview, so I'll stop rambling now.

Beth.

Brilliant interview - and I agree with what he said about preferring radio to TV, TV (and the people who work in TV) can be so fake but radio is instant and much more real.

Poor Michelle McManus - surely she wouldn't sink so low as Cameron.

Nevertheless, Beth, I think it was important for you to post your thoughts on this matter.

Although I haven't heard Federico on radio yet. I have heard he is very good and may have found his forte there

I doubt Michelle would sink that low but then I doubt anyone would, which might explain why he still remains a virgin, as is believed

If he wants to play a colourful character he should join his local amateur dramatics group.

One of the many things I like about this forum is the way that the mods explain their actions publicly. Whether you agree with the decisions they make or not, it's always nice to be given the respect of having valid concerns addressed personally. Well done Beth, and the staff at DS:BB.

Yep, doing third rate impressions of fourth rate comedians is obviously his forte

Perhaps next time Fed was to spout some abusive nonsense he should tell us which minor character from which unfunny show he is pretending to be - his parodies are not good enough that we can guess.

What was the name of the actress he spoke about in his post last night?
Maybe one of his fans who seem to like his kind of disgusting rants might like to get in touch with her and see if she can get him an audition for a part in his local Xmas Panto playing an A**

An earlier explanation of the 'in joke' in the ponytail thread would have sufficed Fed

When Electric 6 registered her offence...an explanation would probably have set the record straight...thus preventing us 'lesser mortals' getting the wrong end of the stick and labelling you as a bigotted abusive creep?

Thanks Emzi and thanks Federico for a great interview. Very entertaining read and nice to see I'm not alone in my opinion of Davina bloody McCall.

I've just caught up with the forum and I'm thrilled to see that not only is Federico a frequent contributor to the forum but Tickle's going to be writing a weekly column for us. All we need now is Woodgate fit for Euro 2004 and this is summer is going to be the perfect chance to top up the bedroom tan.

There were many of us here proud of you Federico and it's nice to see you sticking to your guns. You did your best to slay the beast, alas, the beast fights dirty. You're up there with Dean, Jon and Anna as the most genuine people to grace the show and to get a few sucker punches in on behalf of normality. I hope you'll join us in some capacity for the next round. We're not a bad bunch as bunches go.

Take it easy and hope to see you in the weeks to come.

I have to concur with all your comments about the standard of my grammar and spelling. I remember during the psychologist interviews for BB when Bret would refer to my diction (when he wasn’t quizzing me about my uncle Mick taking pictures of me naked, standing on a bucket with a bottle of Bells whisky in my hand) and reference it to my dodgy application form. The main explanation I gave him was that living in Italy for a decent part my formative years and speaking the Italian language before the English was a difficult experience to get over. Brett listened to this reasoned with me and then we both agreed that it was not good enough and that it really just highlights what an apathetic waster I am. I don’t let it stop me from going on a rant though. I am really glad that some of you guys enjoyed the interview, and having spoken to Tickle I know he is looking forward to giving his own views very soon.

I've had enough of him hanging on to my coat-tails for the reflective fame.

Serious question Fed.
AS you know, Jon Tickle 'sang' in BB4... 'You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave'.

Do you think you'll always been known as 'Fed from BB' ?, is this a good or bad thing?. Does the fame that comes with BB, whilst maybe seductive at first, turn into a millstone eventually?.
