Pity that Fed is actually just a little pr*ck and Jon Tickle is the big pr*ck. And in Fed's case it's not just his behaviour I'm talking about.

Beth, isn't this the inevitable result of condoning in Federico's posts what would not (normally) be tolerated in other FMs' posts?

I'm sorry but this kind of sexist, racist, bigotted, downright insulting behaviour (see single mothers comment for just one) just wouldn't be tolerated from anybody else. Why is it one rule for everybody else and another rule for this disgusting person?

Another thing, I can't imagine Jon Tickle ever stooping so low on a public forum. Federico really is a horrible, nasty, repulsive person and I am utterly ashamed that I belong to the same species.

Yuk.

You can't go condoning other's if your behaviour going by the above post is just as bad if not worse.

Federico and Jon are both members of this forum now. Retaliating against Federico's posts is one thing, but to start dissing Jon for no reason is a bit like the pot calling the kettle black reading your post

Whilst I somewhat agree with the thinking behind 'thetruth''s complaints, I must agree that they have somewhat negated it by other posts they have made. Especially the insults towards Jon, who is a decent nice guy.

Federico is well known for stirring up controversy for the sake of controversy - he did it in the BB house and now here. Some people understand his wind-ups, some don't and take it personally or literally but whatever Federico says, I can't see what Jon Tickle has to do with it.

Wheather right or wrong, I am going to say soemthing on this.

Firstly we have to remember Federico is a forum member now, and if you expect respect from him, surely he should get the same from us.

I take most of what Federico says with a pinch of salt, I doubt very much most of it is meant any other way. If we remember how Federico behaved in the BB house, then we will know this is his style.

Maybe he could tone it down a bit, but then that is not Federico.

Some, not all forum member's were quite happy to go Federico bashing on here and maybe harrass him with pm's, forgetting the respect other fm's bit, when Federico retaliates, some can't take it.

Ex bber's get it from all quarter's, the press, tv and us etc; Is it a wonder that sometimes they get a bit peed off.

I am no fan of Kate, but wouldn't harrass the poor girl if she came on here now.

Also is it right to start picking on Jon now he is a fm ? maybe some should practice what they preach.

I am not saying what is right or wrong, but you have to look at both sides of the coin here. Maybe some just started off on the wrong foot. I have noticed some have joined up just to have a rant at Federico.

If you don't like Federico, then maybe don't read or reply to his posts, simple as that.

Must add the picking up of fm's on spelling and paragraphs really irks me, and must put some fm's off, and to use this as the only line of defence in a post is pretty low, imho. As long as we understand what is said what does it matter. It's the actual post that really matters.

Ok, have had my little say

I don't particularly dislike him - never met him, never will .....
It's just he has nothing to say that I want to read.

I got caught up in the Mr Blonde thing a while ago and learnt from that.

Deep breaths guys - deep breaths .....

The minute anyone goes on these 'reality' shows, they leave themselves open to critisism. Whether we like them or not, we use the forums to vent our (the viewer/poster)frustrations/likes and dislikes about the housemates. If Fed really has joined the forum, then i dont think he or DS should expect us to change our opinion of him.. I did not like him on the show, and I dont like the tone of his posts on here either.. In saying that if he is a member now, then he can post till his heart pops for all I care, but I would like to think that the DS mods are not 'starstruck' and he should be treated the same as any other posters.. His posts are offensive, they should be removed

Ithankya'

Was just responding to a post which contained rather insulting comments about Jon Tickle.

I couldn't agree more lulu.
Beth, thank you for explaining your thinking behind your moderating decisions- I dont agree with you, but I have the option to ignore Federico, as I find he has nothing to say I want to read, but this IS turning into a thread about why he should be allowed to get away with stuff that would (and has) got others banned.

Double standards seem to be at play, and I find it very sad that so many excellent posters have gone, while he, by virtue of being an ex HM, is given a very long length of rope.

It doesn't seem to me to be fair play.

Yes metafis, I understand, it wasn't your post I was responding to - should have made that clearer - sorry! This thread is about Federico - I don't see how his comments involve Jon and why Jon was labelled "a big p*ick" by thetruth in a Federico thread.

I have a probelm with this whole situation...

We all saw Federico in BB..and still we asked for him to "come and say hello"..did we really expect a different person to arrive?

We slate contestans for not being genuine or holding back with thier opinions..then we take the moral high ground when one offers them freely, even if it is in a tongue in cheek (or some may find offensive) manner...we can't have it all ways..

And i agree with Susann about the practice of critising people spelling and grammatical errors..unfortunalty some of us didnt have the benefit of a decent education (I have no idea of Federico's education, I am refering to my own here )...does that make our opinions any less valid?

Personally I find it very ill mannared and offensive to point out a poster's written mistakes

If Federico had arrived and been nothing but sweet and polite..would we now be hearing cries of "fake!" ?

Federico has arrived. All I ask is that he abide by the same rules as everyone else here. Some of his remarks in the now deleted Ponytail thread, were completely against the T & C's. You cant have it everyway. Which is it to be...favoured ex HM status, or treated as the rest of us?
Incidentally Nick Hall from FA2 has posted quite extensively. He has been polite, interesting and very informative.

Respect is earned Susann

You may be able to take his deliberately provocative posts with a pinch of salt but others will find his comments very offensive. I won't repeat any of his comments but I think it's fair to say that they were unsuitable for a public forum whether they were said in jest or not.

Public forums are moderated to prevent this sort of childish behaviour and that thread was duly moderated.

I do find it sad that the poster was not able to take the light hearted responses on the chin and chose to post yet more offensive ramblings, making personal attacks on FMs.

That spoke volumes

I think you misunderstand me..I'm not saying he hasnt been rude or offensive to some people ( to be honest that ponytail thread was gone before I had a chance to read it!)

What I was trying to say was..we all saw how he bahaved in the house yet still we invited him here..but now he is here, behaving the same as we saw him behave in the house...I find it strange that people are shocked by the way he behaves..

If that makes any sense at all

I've obviously missed all the off season action here.

For what it's worth, we get plenty of people in GD with what are by most peole's standards, intolerable, contemptable opinions on a variety of subjects but tongue in cheek or not, opinions is all they are.

For the most part DSers are rational and reasonable, that's why this is DS and not a Yahoo free-for-all. The only rule is, treat people with respect. It's fairly easy. If you don't like what someone has to say and can't respond without insulting them personally, leave the discussion.

To the grammar and punctuation wardens, there is still an ongoing thread in GD specifically for you to go and point out errors.

Well, the BB House isn't subject to DS T & Cs

My other concern is that if we have a 'celebrity troll' here, trolls from all the other BB sites are going to start turning up to 'have a go'

We saw some of that during Teen BB

I specifically didn't want this thread to go down this route so I'm keen that it stops now. I have tried to be very open with how things have been done but maybe that was wrong. Please can I ask that this is dropped now, I can assure you that I'm not "starstruck" nor is there anyone immune to being banned.

Emzi has done what I believe to be a fantastic interview and it does make me sad that it is being pushed to one side. Anyone care to comment on his opionons of Davina or what he'd have done with the prize money?

Beth.

It was a good interview Beth. Well done Emzi

Not sure that discussing his opinion of Davina will change the tone of the thread though LOL

Well, it was inevitable that FMs would comment if they disagreed with decisions or found posts offensive, but you are right, Beth, to point out that this is unfair on Emzi. Sorry, Emzi.

Yeah the Davina thing was an eye opener, always been a huge Davina fan. Would have liked to hear what Fed thought of Dermot.
