Topfield TF 7750 HDPVR
I have been waiting for the HD PVRs to come out and saw this one advertised, but can't find any reviews as yet, would appreciate some comments from people who have one already. We have a good signal so have never had a sat dish, how does it compare with freesat? Do you get the same stations with freesat and freeview HD? Or would it be better to go down the freesat route?

I have a Topfield 5810 PVR and I have been really pleased with the upscaled picture quality. Unfortunately the HDD has died and I am looking for a replacement. Thinking about the TF7750 but I am not too sure.
I have another Sony TV which has built in HD tuner and I can confirm HD free view picture quality is as good as HD freesat. You need to pay Sky if you want more than the channels available on free view. |

What is very disappointing about the product is that it doesn't seem to support the TAP feature That has made the TF5xxx range of PVRs so popular, flexable and reliable.

Doesn't look like the Topfield name wull be used on HD PVRs in the UK, Turbosat's new products are using the Icecrypt name instead here in the UK.
Their first high def Freeview PVR is to be the T2400PVR due for release soon. http://www.icecrypt.com/index.php/pr...ers/t2400.html |

Suggest that you look at www.topfield.co.kr there it states this product is for the Australian market only. So doubt if it would support the full portfolio of Freesat Features.

I feel inclined to replace my ailing Toppy with Humax. I like the prospect of internet connectivity and ability to watch iPlayer etc. See here > http://www.johnlewis.com/230519340/Product.aspx http://www.pocket-lint.com/review/49...-fox-t2-review http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/tv-recorde...view-50000711/ Ride hard or stay home

The T2200 Freeview HD set top box is from Topfield; commissioning it that way likely gives Turbosat more control over features than just importing a Topfield box. The T2400 is made by HomeCast. I don't consider it likely that a Topfield-produced Freeview HD PVR will appear in the UK, and if it does, they have a mountain to climb in terms of regaining their reputation. |
