Any ideas of the Exit Song?

Anyone know what the exit song this year will be?

Previously we have had :

"So Long, Farewell" for Maria

"Poor, Poor Joseph/Close Every Door" for Joseph

and

"Be Back Soon"/"As Long As He Knows Me" for Nancy.

What is the most obvious for Dorothy,

I am thinking that she will sing a verse of Over The Rainbow, with maybe a few lines of Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead before hand (similar to Be Back Soon).

I think it would be fun also for the surviving Dorothy's to sing Goodbye Yellow Brick Road too.

Anyone know or have ideas for the exit song?

When I watched the first show of the first series (Sound of Music) - I couldn't believe the cruelty of the departed contestant singing So long, farewell.

Of course I laughed out loud - but ..........

It is a bit cruel but it does make good tv

You mean 'As long as he needs me'

It is my favourite bit! Ramps up the cheeseyness

I would imagine it would start with "We are off to see the wizard"... but NOT YOU! and then move in to "Somewhere over the rainbow"..

Oh, the exit song has got to be 'Somewhere over the rainbow', surely? 'Why then, oh why can't I' is about as poignant a line as you can get, and the show will milk poignancy for all its worth as each would-be Dorothy is eliminated. Cruel, but effective.

And yes, I should think they'll prance in to 'We're off to see the wizard', although IDA varied that formula by having a different group song every week, IIRC.

There's one the Munchkins sing about the Lullaby League or something, that might work as a Lullaby is a goodnight song, followed by the eliminee's swansong, Over The Rainbow

Ding Dong the Witch is Dead leading in to Over The Rainbow would be absolutely perfect, but are the BBC cruel enough??

Guess they'll be handing over the red shoes.

How about "if I only had a part"!

I'm sure it will be Over the Rainbow because that is what they had to sing when Charlotte Church went around at Dorothy barn tapping them on the shoulder.

I just hope they reintroduce the tradition used in Joseph of stripping the contestant of their coloured costume when they get voted off

It will be Over The Rainbow but I'm guessing the band will play some of Ding Dong the Witch Is Dead as they are getting into place. I doubt they will sing it, but you never know!

Funny if they did that.

Maybe they should get some winged monkeys to drag the losing girl away.....!

Dont want to give much away but the exit song is AMAZING. Obviously its over the rainbow. The start of it is quite funny but then its just spectacular and very very emotional. At the recording last night all the girls were crying their eyes out i thought we would have to do it again due to all the sniffles! Goodness knws how the girl who left held it together but she was awesome.

Its the best exit song arrangement ever out of maria, joseph, nancy etc. Wait till you see it. Just beautiful.

You get in 6:15-6:30. The show starts, what was it, 7:15, 7:25? They did a full rehearsal of the results show, followed by the results show. It didn't finish until, um, was it about 22:30/40ish?

Check the Wembley Stadium events schedule to see whether they have anything on. The studio is five minutes from the tube station. Public transport and car parking is going to be chaotic if you go on a day when they are holding the FA Cup semi-finals, the FA Cup final, the Championship playoffs and so on.

Do they over"sell" tickets? ie Does everyone get in or do you need to get there at lunchtime to be certain of getting in?

Thanks FXUD, I'm lucky I don't have to queue or anything, was just wondering about not being able to go to the loo for hours
