I'm quite surprised at Stephanie being the favourite, as I found her very O.T.T in her performances and her dancing utterly ridiculous and very stage-school.

On the other hand, I feel Danielle is a very natural actress with an amazingly strong voice for a 17 year old.

Of course these odds will most definitely chance after Saturday nights show.

Anyone know the odds at the beginning of the previous three searches??

I agree. I'm suprised too, very suprised Danielle is so far down. She is one of my top three so far.

Stephanie may have seemed OTT for TV but I can assure you that if you go the the theatre this would work beautifully. As for her dancing she was by far the BEST out of all the Dorothy's!!! AMAZING!!!!

She seemed to put the most effort in out of everyone and personally think she is adorable. I suggest you watch the performances again before you make such harsh comments!! She is a 17 year old girl giving her all. Ooooooh how mean of you. COME ON STEPHANIE. OH AND BY THE WAY SHE IS FAVOURITE ON ALL BOOKMAKERS NOW AND IS NOW 2/1 fav. I agree with most of the odds and like a couple more girls also.. They are all amazing and have so much guts getting up on that stage in front of millions of viewers. There, I have had my rant.

At this early stage it is hard to be so passionate about someone, are you by any chance related to or know Stephanie? :P

I do not mean to be harsh towards her, but she put too much effort into her performances, which led to over-acting the songs on TV, and appeared to be quite false. She is definitely not a natural actress, and I noticed she was clipping her words in the songs quite sharply. Personally I think she is too stage school, along with Jessica.

Welcome to DS, but I fear your time here is going to be very painful for you if you take some mild critical opinion of a contestant in a TV show and think it's mean and harsh! Are you related to Stephanie, by any chance?

For the record, she is one of my favourites, but she is a bit 'stage school' and I shall be interested to see whether she can lose that and be a little more natural.

Oh, and while we are all entitled to our opinions, you might like to consider that your assertion that Stephanie's dancing is 'by far the best' and 'amazing' is also just an opinion. Others might disagree.

I was surprised to see from the Paddy Power site that although Stephanie is favourite to win when it comes to the odds for elimination she is actually 5th in the list. I am not up on bookies odds but thought if she was favourite to win she would be at the bottom of the list for elimination. I am probably missing something which I am sure someone will put me right on

I think Stephanie would make a fab Dorothy. As I've said before, I do know her but even without my bias I could imagine supporting her. She really does fit the bill!

I will disagree with most critical comments about her, especially personality-wise as she is lovely! Her dancing is amazing (not least compared to mone) and her voice is also great! You need to be a triple threat to play Dorothy, and Stephanie certainly seems to be one of those!

I think Stephanie looks more Snow White than Dorothy - but I did think she was enchanting and very talented.

My personal favourites Jessica - quirky and kooky - Emilie (hope the public vote puts her through) and I'd like to see more of Lauren: I've just realised who Lauren reminds of - Sheree Murphy!

I was amazed to learn Danielle is only 17, she looks much older than some contestants who can clearly give her a few years and although she's a very attractive, physically she isn't who I would conjure up when thinking of Dorothy.

I'm sure she could portray the teenage angst of boredom, but Dorothy is also vulnerable and I saw no sign that Danielle could interpret sensitivity.

Perhaps I mean that, for me, she's the wrong height and shape, in which case I'm no doubt stereotyping the role; she could prove me very wrong indeed.

Stephanie did nothing for me. I found her a bit too in your face.

And Danielle I'm having difficulty placing.....although I'd have remembered her if I wasn't keen so I'm sure she's fine.

I'm sure we'll disagree now and again - if only to keep the sparks flying!

I remember few - and some of them for all the wrong reasons - but I had no trouble remembering Stephanie.

It is only on here I've seen her being mentioned. Then again I do think it's harder this time as there were 20 girls.

I'm really confused about all this talk about Stephanie. I thought she was OK, but that's about it. I'd place her in the top 6 or 7 of the top 10, but what do I know? The person I picked in the audition shows to run away with it is ranked at number 8, although there I do think the rest of the top 5 (minus Stephanie) look like strong contenders at this point. I'm of two minds about Lauren, though. I think she has a great voice, but there's something "off" about her stage presence for me.

Me too. She is tooooo stage school for this, and there are plenty other girls who would be better as Dorothy than her, namely Danielle, Sophie and Lauren.

Although I suppose tonights show will prove to be the deciding factor for everyone to choose favourites, and I, among others, may be proved wrong about Stephanie, as some of the girls may have worked very well in the group but won't succeed on their own, and Stephanie, who didn't do very well within her group, may in fact suprise us all tonight!

P.S. Danielle will still be my favourite :P

Stephanie is the contestant that I remember most vividly and I thought she was very good. However, I can see why people say she's "too stage school" and it will be interesting to see how she develops through the series. (I can't see her being knocked out early). If she takes instruction well then she will tone down in the right way and the talent will come out even more. I think she will be a very strong contender, but she'll continue to split opinion, as I think she's quite confident in her own abilities.
