Have done a search, and have to admit I'm not the savviest with Internet language, but when I go into any of these sites, they don't seem to be free, so is there such a thing, I'm desperate to get my little camera to work.............
Well, you need to give more info.
What doesn't work exactly? If the camera doesn't work full stop - take it back. If it can't connect to your pc or you are struggling to transfer data, then you need to specify this.
Why do you think you need a driver?
Manufacturers updated drivers are free to download on their websites. Though just because there is a new driver, doesn't mean you should update, it depends whether you are having problems or if there is some new functionality you can utilise.
Thanks for your reply. The camera is a Practika Dpix 5200. The cd with it is for Windows 98/ME/2000/XP - there is no mention in the Manual for Vista and it just won't let me install. I have visited the Practika website and emailed them, but I suspect they are on holiday. When I tried to download a manual from their website it didn't give the 5200 as an option.
I see on their website it says "We have made available the drivers for a large selection of our digital cameras. "But not all.
Have you tried this:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...llation-Wizard
Might work, though probably won't give you 100% functionality. Otherwise you may have to wait for a reply from Pratika or borrow someone else's XP machine.
It was quite simple, advice direct from Practika - see your photo on your camera, plug in your USB cable and it will download the photo (in fact it downloaded them all).
Next experimenting with eBay.......................................and trying to find where I've put them!!!
