I'd be fine with her being on - to be honest the fun of Strictly is seeing a variety of people nominally famous (some you've heard of before the competition starts, some are soap actors that are not household names - not a critism as a Mavia fan I'd argue they're as much a part of the show as anyone else) but I don't subscribe to the idea that unless someone can win there's no point in them being there. If Hancock wants to rhumba then let her - she could also produce some lovely ballroom a lot of older contestants often do. I liked Lynda Bellingham - she wasn't a great dancer but then a lot of people last year weren't - Joe Calzage, Rav Wilding and Criag Kelly who were young enough to have not be obvious duds weren't any better than she was - at least she wasn't deluded about her levels of ability like them. If you want to watch a program full of contenders then go and watch So You Think You Can Dance. People liked JS I suspect because they liked seeing a older guy give it a go and do with humour - I think it's a shame he knocked out Cherie Lunghi but I can understand why people voted for him - hubbie reckons he only stayed a week too long.
