Having trouble with my sons credit on his phone! We cannot stop the Jokes Text Messaging even though we have sent STOP message to company. Anybody else having trouble on this line with 85050 Joke Texts. He's lost £30 pound to this number and they refuse to acknowledge any transaction by them with him.

If you had searched back through the posts you would have found that there is a thread that started in January with some phone numbers to call or the correct text message to send. Your son is not the first and won't be the last. See:

My sister also got caught - apparently they don't make it clear that it's a subscription that you request rather than a one-off joke.

This sort of operation ought to be banned.

There was a BBC programe about this sort of thing the other week and they had a few letters and emails complaning about moble joke lines
