She's really not very good at all, and there were far better girls who missed out on a final place over her. I really don't want to judge her on her glamour modelling background, but its hard not to isn't it? Especially when she seems to live up to the stereotype. She also looks far too old facially, too old to be Dorothy anyway. Maybe they wanted her through to get publicty for the show.

I have no idea? I can't believe that Emilie and Tegan didn't get through first time. Maybe Amy could be Sandy in Grease or something, but I can't see her as Dorothy at all.
Put her through as fodder so ALW can save or lose others as he pleases.

I can't imagine her as Dorothy, but I guess its good to have some different kind of girls in the competition so the public have the option of picking a more 'alternative' Dorothy. Plus she's one of the best vocally.
Would be boring if we only had eleven Judy Garland-clones to pick from.

She has a good voice but she doesnt have the look for Dorothy she looks older than 22 so I dont understand why she went through to the final 10 ..........even the judges tonight criticised her for being too popstar.

I agree. She's not Dorothy at all for me. I thought Camille and Tegan were much better.

I think she is 22, but that glamour model look does tend to make some women look older than they are.
Seems like a nice enough lass but not keen on the way she sings (it's sounds contrived to me like she's copying what she hears in the charts) and her look and demeanour is all wrong for Dorothy.

I think so too. They just don't want to say she's older, or she doesn't want it. She's more like 27 IMO or at least she looks it, if not older! With many of the other girls 17-18 it would seem too much of a gap for her to say her real age.
Amy is SO not Dorothy, but I like it that the judges put through girls who are not Judy Garland clones. The exposure will do her career no harm and this show is much more than just casting for Dorothy - just look at how well previous also-rans have done!

Other girls could have gained from such exposure too; ones who actually were potential Dorothys as well.

i dont find her attractive at all in fact she reminds me of Jennifer Saunders with her huge jaw, she can sing a bit though

I agree with this, and I also agree with ALW that she would be fantastic in the Legally Blonde musical.
It's the wrong show for her. Putting aside the fact that her voice is too poppy for musical theatre, there are so many other roles she'd be OK for on looks and demeanour but Dorothy isn't it. I think they've been pretty cruel to her putting her through purely for the potential PR around having a glamour girl in the top 10. I expect they envisaged The Sun having a "back our girl" campaign to keep the programme in the public eye.
I think she looks like she's getting on for 30. No way would I believe that she was still living at home in a small town and eager to get away.
I'm sure they knew it too, but either decided that it would be good for the show to put through someone so very different to the typical Dorothy image encourage voters to think beyond the obvious, or they hoped that she'd be interesting to the press and bring in those column inches. The costume people aren't helping by put her in such an obviously sexy dress either.
I think she knows full well that she's not right for Dorothy too, but hopes to do well enough that she'll be considered favourably for something else. She's good, but she's a bit bland.

22 is her real age and if y0u meet her in person you would think her no older
I don't think she's anywhere close to the quality of any of the cast of legally blonde.
That cast is phenominally talented.
On the whole she's not dorothy, wigs, costume and stage makeup can go a long way ( just look at the pics of any of hairspray ednas, or even just how different summer looked as maria) she could be with some work. But you can't help feel that if she really wanted it she'd have changed her look already, dropped the tanning and changed her hair.
