MΨTH (possible spoilers?)

This may be absolutely nothing, I may be jumping the gun. But I was just watching Eleventh Hour again (already, I know. :P That's what iPlayer's for!) and I noticed something a wee bit odd.

In the scene with the Doctor doing a conference call using Jeff's laptop, the laptop is clearly labeled "MΨTH", both on the front, and the back of the screen.

A couple of Google searches have informed me that there is no such brand of laptop. Now, it is remotely possible that the BBC merely didn't want to show a brand-name laptop, so invented a quick spoof brand name and stuck it over the original logo.

But, that's not Doctor Who style. Plus, they don't seem to have done that much before (e.g. the fire engine clearly had a VOLVO logo on the side).

Could MΨTH possibly be a new story arc, Bad Wolf style? Coinciding with the

"silence" and "pandoria"
(whatever that is, when it's at home)

Just something I noticed. Ideas?

I noticed the MYTH compter logo, quite prominently onscreen. Yes, i think it was invented so they wouldn't have to promote someone else's brand ... but it might turn up again later! Who can say?!

I noticed it too as I was watching the episode. We had ATMOS in the first ep of s4. It could be either nothing, a little stand alone episode, or part of a big story arc

As for the ducks... so long and thank for all the... small dirty duck pond lol

The Y in the computer name is the astrological symbol for the planet neptune - neptune being god of the sea.

Ah now I am confused, were the outer tips of the symbol higher than the middle one?

Right I've solved it.

M, Ψ, T, H, - all Greek letters.

M= mu
Ψ=psi
T=tau
H=eta

mupsitaueta - an anagram of which is.....

"I'm up a statue" ..... It's the weeping angels I tell ya!

(or it might be "Situate puma" )

So could MYTH be like the torchwood of Series 5? A certain organisation or whatever we will come to face in the finale.

Could just be part of the re branding for TV along with the brand given on the parts inside the Tardis which was discussed on Confidential.

And Pandorica almost certainly refers to the Greek myth of Pandora's box.

Psi is also a personality type test, or the theory surrounding it. There are some very interesting studies on the internet, at least interesting as to what they might imply if relevant to DW

eg "In this paper, we discuss the concept of autobiographic agent and how memory may extend an agent's temporal horizon and increase its adaptability. These concepts are applied to an implementation of a scenario where agents are interacting in a complex virtual artificial life environment. We present computational memory architectures for autobiographic virtual agents that enable agents to retrieve meaningful information from their dynamic memories which increases their adaptation and survival in the environment. The design of the memory architectures, the agents, and the virtual environment are described in detail. Next, a series of experimental studies and their results are presented which show the adaptive advantage of autobiographic memory, i.e. from remembering significant experiences. Also, in a multi-agent scenario where agents can communicate via stories based on their autobiographic memory, it is found that new adaptive behaviours can emerge from an individual's reinterpretation of experiences received from other agents whereby higher communication frequency yields better group performance. An interface is described that visualises the memory contents of an agent. From an observer perspective, the agents' behaviours can be understood as individually structured, and temporally grounded, and, with the communication of experience, can be seen to rely on emergent mixed narrative reconstructions combining the experiences of several agents. This research leads to insights into how bottom-up story-telling and autobiographic reconstruction in autonomous, adaptive agents allow temporally grounded behaviour to emerge. The article concludes with a discussion of possible implications of this research direction for future autobiographic, narrative agents."

For those who are interested, do a search for psi personality tests, or "D Doerner". For those who want my own personal analysis:

Could the Pandorica be a laboratory into which the Doctor and Amy are thrown as lab-rats, to do battle with his own autobiographical experiences (hence possibly including River Song) which have escaped through the cracks in time and space?

I was reading the radio times the other day, and it gave a quick synopsis of each episode...and it said something to do with:

Spoiler
Pandora's box opening...I can't remember the exact phrase!

Some people may have thought about this already. I found it a bit strange they were giving so much info away in the radio times though...
