Funny blue light....did anyone notice?

Was a bit odd, there was the blue Star Trek '09 lens flare and also both started glowing in that regeneration orangey yellow.

They didn't ignore it, they just didn't spell it out. As soon as they mentioned they shot in slow motion, I thought it was obvious this accounts for the blue light. It was a lens flare. They said something like, the effect of shooting in slow motion gave it a spiritual, unearthly feel.

If anything like that happened on a normal piece of footage, they'd have to reshoot it.

It was deliberate, obviously.

Appears to be the Anamorphic Flare from Magic Bullet Looks, an After Effects plug-in. Lovely effect.
