The current design, typewriter et al, is merely another "retro look" and looks pretty good as fas I'm concerned.”

It may look retro now, but the console which debuted in The Five Doctors looked pretty futuristic to me at the time! I was but a twinkle in 1963, but all the contemporary descriptions of the first tardis interior emphasise how futuristic it was. I think the 'retro tardis' was really only properly born in the Paul Mcgann movie (or possibly Tom Baker's wooden one?).

I prefer it to the previous TARDIS because it feels less obviously alien. But the bath taps, manual typewriter and morse code key thingy (morse code?!) feel a bit gimmicky. Oh well, I'm sure the designers had a lot of fun and that's the main thing.

Oh come on!

The last one was powered by a bicycle pump!

(I don't recall anyone likening that to an "extendable dildo" either)

Yes it was, I recently watched "the time invasion" again.

No your not the only one. I thought "that looks like a giant glass dildo" as soon as I saw it.

Isn't the new Tardis built on the set of the Hub?
