I think the main ones in the firing line would be the ones who have never toured with strictly which is Anton, Erin, Brendan and Katya.”

After the dumping of Nicole and replacing Arlene with Alesha I'd believe anything of the bbc !
I've just got this feeling they are gonna try and turn scd into DWTS, with a whole new cast of us pro's ! PLEASE GOD I HOPE I'M WRONG !!!!!!!

There was the rumour that Derek from DWTS was gonna join Strictly, but i can't see it happening myself, he is way too popular over there.

I really think Strictly needs something to give its energy back, it needs freshning up ... BUT ..

Its not the Pro's that need replacing. For most people, the pros make the show, so getting rid of their favourites is likely to make them switch off. If by saying they want 10 dancers in the literal sense of 10 people, the BBC will have trouble on their hands ...

say for example they planned to get rid of the pros who have their own projects that gets rid of Darren and Lilia () Vincent and Flavia, Brendan and Katya and Anton and Erin. So thats 8 gone. ( This isnt true, just an example which I hope doesnt happen! but the bbc are known for radical decisions)

All I hope is that we dont end up with DWTS style show.

I simply can't believe that they are planning to replace that many pros - it's just a misunderstanding by the Agent. I'm sure they have sent the request out in both the UK and the US and this particular Agent has then advertised for 10 dancers! There are probably auditions happening in the UK as well.”

I don't know anything about this but this makes more sense than anything else. I can't imaging hiring 10 new dancers. Perhaps they are looking 10 dancers that will go on to further auditions and then they are going to weed it down to 2 dancers that will actually get a spot. And as Force Ten says they are advertising in both the UK and the US to have a bigger pool to draw from.

The SCD format is a winning formula so why would they want to make it more like DWTS other than to borrow the more successful aspects of DWTS. I'm sure they don't want the public shunning this beautiful program. DWTS is doing incredible in the ratings this year but it is due to the diversity in the celebrity cast than anything else.

I think you could be right as well FT.

Another possibility is the BBC might be going down the DWTS route by signing more pros so that some actually take part in the competition and others work in the background throughout the series on choreography and training.
